Whatever happend to the RAAN?
I remember back in high-school when I was an open Communist and the YCL was moving slow (like it does), a buddy of mine gave me an RAAN flyer and I got hooked. Printed a load of em and passed em out like crazy. Was searching for them on google out of nostalgia and cant find anything on them. Did they go under or what?

RAAN is still around, we've just not had an active Hub for a while. There is some interest from participants in creating a new one, though this is still in the works ATM.
Why are people so hostile towards the RAAN? This thread introduced me to them and I have not read all that much on the organisation but it still seems interesting to me. I'm not having a go at anyone i'm just curious to know what they have done wrong and what faults they have.
Reading the back threads, there were a few flamewars about the anti-Leninist aspect of RAAN. Rather than re-open a flamewar, I recommend doing a search of "RAAN" and "Red and Anarchist Action Network" on this forum.

The defeat of the revolutionary movement was not, as Stalinists always complain, due to its lack of unity. It was defeated because the civil war within its ranks was not worked out with enough force. The crippling effects of the systematic confusion between hostis and enemy are self-evident, whether it be the tragedy of the Soviet Union or the groupuscular comedy.

Anyways, I noticed that Green Apostle was the one who initially brought this topic up and I'm curious what was it that you found interesting about RAAN? I don't read the topics here and I am not familiar with who you are, but pacifism is not a typical RAAN practice. I'd prefer not to troll out a discussion on pacifism and I am more interested in what you like about RAAN.
I like RAAN because it makes sense. It doesnt seek to become some kind of "worker's party" or "revolutionary vanguard" but rather presents it's beliefs and leaves people to do what they will with them.
The anti-Leninism helps too.
