I posted this in the "Q&A" form as well, as I am trying to reach as many as I can:

Hello, I am doing a research paper on Che, and I need to find some good sources with "anti-Che" opinions, or maybe someone here could give me an Idea as to what his main critisicms are/were. To give you an idea to the theme of my paper, my current thesis statement is "Che’s dedication to the liberation from political injustices during the Cuban revolution of the 50’s was a heroic effort to overcome oppression."

Browse the site, some of the threads on che you can often find bad things different people say about him, check the 'Che did Horrible things' thread or 'Che, a stalinist?' or try the obvious sources like www.capatalism.com, another great source of info on Che links (other than this site) is http://www.neravt.com/left/che.htm

    DisruptiveBehaviour ...

I don't get you point? Why are you doing a reseach paper which is negativ? Wouldn't it be better to show off what great ideas he had? I mean I don't know where you're from, but most the time Che already has a bad image ... so lets change that and don't give these people who think Che was a terrorist etc. new stuff to hold on to? You get my point?

    Annelie:

First off I did not start this paper, but I do believe he started it because he was looking for a well rounded opinion on Che, good and bad (although I can find very little bad in Che)
O yah... also go ask capitalist what he thinks about Che...

Che made a very bad speech on May 20, the anniversary of the PSP cadres. It was full of textbook Marxism and praise for the old PSP cadres. The same viewpoint was reflected in a prolouge he wrote at the time for The Marxist-Leninst Party, an anthology of texts on party theory and Fidel Castro's speeches. One of Che's biographers, the Italian writer Roberto Massari, bemoaned "Guevara's praise for a book with such a poverty of theory. Che was also accused of having ignorance in such areas.

by Paco Ignacio Taibo II "Even Che couldn't always be like Che"

My apologies, I didn't mean to type half the chapter yet I feel he was greatly insulted, especially because he was such a good journalist and writer.

My perception is that in some sort of desperation Che was hoping to find solutions and answers to his own dilemmas. It would certainly be interesting to know how Che would be today, since we are no longer in the Industrial Revolution.

The man was before his time when the only words that could best describe his vision was socialism and utopia.

thanks for your help. my paper is coming along now. To Annelie- i myself am not participating in the criticism of Che, I am doing the opposite, but in the paper i must acknoweledge Che's opposition in order to debunk it and support him.

Some criticisers claim that Che wanted WWIII. And of course he's ignorance has been pointed out many times. Here's a quote from Che at his worst: "I could never be a friend with a person who doesn't agree with me." Some people also say, that he executed many un-Marxists guerrillos who had fought with him in the Cuban revolution after Batista was ousted. And finally he has been accused of destroying the Cuban economy with unnesesery centralism. Good luck on your paper, hope i'm not late.
