Default Idea for a Game: Commune Simulation Interest Check

So, in another forum I'm part of called Alternate History.com we divide up the world into nations that aren't totally historical and begin Role-Playing at the national level, agreeing to trade agreements and making war one each other. However, for RevLeft I was thinking we can 'claim' an area for a commune (something smaller than a nation) and begin talking about the politics of communes and describe our philosophies through exhibiting them.

I must warn you, this game is really intensive, you'll have to check for responses and initiate contact to other communes to get trade agreements and defence alliances.

This is a taste of 'Nation Games' which is what they are called on the other site. You post an almanac which lists the basic information about your claim and there is a map you draw on with MS Paint (or whatever you use) to claim territory for your commune. This is what an almanac looks like, but it will be modified for the game, this is a national-type almanac:

Nation Name: (including Also Know as)

    Government: (Which political system dominates?)

Leader: (Who carries the most weight?)

Population: (Population, based on 1750 numbers)

Currency: (Peso's? Bear claws? Gold? Teeth?)

    Capital: (Political centre)

Major Cities: (Please try to list anything over a 25,000 or of strategic significance here)

Geographic Description: (Try and describe your borders so we don't have to rely on a VERY large map for just what is within/outside your borders. (I.e. River, OTL borders, roads, etc.))

Languages: (Primary & secondary languages , cohesive language developed?)

Religion: (Primary & Secondary Religons , inquisitions etc)

Major Internal issues: (Ethnic strife? Political instability? Poverty? Name at least 2-3 please)

Flag: (National symbol , Royal symbols)

    Timeline: Go nuts

Sounds cool. I'd like to play.
"Direct Action is a notion of such clarity, of such self-evident transparency, that merely to speak the words defines and explains them. It means that the working class, in constant rebellion against the existing state of affairs, expects nothing from outside people, powers or forces, but rather creates its own conditions of struggle and looks to itself for its means of action. It means that, against the existing society which recognises only the citizen, rises the producer. And that that producer, having grasped that any social grouping models itself upon its system of production, intends to attack directly the capitalist mode of production in order to transform it, by eliminating the employer and thereby achieving sovereignty in the workshop – the essential condition for the enjoyment of real freedom.” Emile Pouget

Okay, I'm hijacking my own thread to start the claiming.

Claim a small square on the map (7 x 7 pixels is my size, you can add one extra pixel for an even 50, but I didn't). The big Red Blotch on the original Map is my commune around the former Canadian capital of Ottawa.

    Almanac:

    Population: 2,000,000

    Capital: Ottawa

    Major Cities: Ottawa, Gatineau-Hull

Geographic Description: Ottawa River, Built-up area on the Ontario-Quebec border.

    Languages: English, French, Ojibwe

Major Internal issues: Maintaining proper amounts of winter supplies
    Ensuring environmental balances
    Worker Health
    Reviewing Anarchism Theories
    French Cultural Degradation

Symbol: Red Maple Leaf with Black Anarchism Symbol on it
