Default Things to do in Seattle?

In just a few days I will be going back to Washington, my homestate, for the first time in 12 years. I just wanted to get some feedback on some things I should check out while there, and not just the run of the mill touristy (sp) stuff, places that locals enjoy as well.

P.S. Please refrain from saying Space needle, i've seen/heard it far to many times during my searching.

    Thanks

    Listen to Nirvana

Alternately: Agua Verde, Boat St., On Portage Bay between Lake Washington and Lake Union, just south and west of the University of Washington is a standout, attractive but informal, with creative, contemporary Mexican cooking, including a lot of great vegetarian and seafood options. Show up early, be prepared to wait half an hour, or get your food to go and sit at the picnic tables by the lake outside. They also rent kayaks and do tours around Lake Union.

Get some fajitas and a kayak

    Fantastic ideas, thank you!

Aqua Verde, though, seems really cool.
Fajitas and kayaks is just a brilliant idea, I think I'll check that out.

That bridge seems cool as well.

I can't believe nobody has said you should see a Blue Scholars concert.
"We are now becoming a mass party all at once, changing abruptly to an open organisation, and it is inevitable that we shall be joined by many who are inconsistent (from the Marxist standpoint), perhaps we shall be joined even by some Christian elements, and even by some mystics. We have sound stomachs and we are rock-like Marxists. We shall digest those inconsistent elements. Freedom of thought and freedom of criticism within the Party will never make us forget about the freedom of organising people into those voluntary associations known as parties."

"Getting a job, finding a mate, having a place to live, finding a creative outlet. Life is a war of attrition. You have to stay active on all fronts. It's one thing after another. I've tried to control a chaotic universe. And it's a losing battle. But I can't let go. I've tried, but I can't." - Harvey Pekar

    Beat me to it.
The defeat of the revolutionary movement was not, as Stalinists always complain, due to its lack of unity. It was defeated because the civil war within its ranks was not worked out with enough force. The crippling effects of the systematic confusion between hostis and enemy are self-evident, whether it be the tragedy of the Soviet Union or the groupuscular comedy.

Go record shopping and pay a visit to the Crocodile cafe/live music venue. I hear its very good for up-and-coming bands.

Most of the chap's posts seem to be confrontational and snarky digs at other posters. Thankfully, most other contributors do not seem to behave in this manner." - Some Guy
