I was just wondering what happened to Camilo Cienfuegos.
I can't remember how he died? Did he get killed during the revolution? Could you give me some information about him?
Gosh I hope I don't sound too stupid because I don't know ...

In short, The plane he was flying was lost over the Atlantic Ocean shortly after the Revolution, either around the Coubre incident or the Playa Girdon (sp?). The Plane was never found.

on oct 8 he boarded a plane to return to havana, the plane was never found nor did they find any singns of it. some thougth it was fidel who did it, camilio had become too popular, whatever happend his plane just dissapeard in da sea
im not sure but i think che also put camilios picture one the cover of gurrilla warfare.

i don't think castro would go to such an extreme just because he got too popular. especially after his involvment in fighting the same cause as castro. but it seems strange that Cienfuegos' death is surrounded by mystery.

yah i know, but it was one of the theories, but i doubt it also. if it was fidel che wouldnt have stayed with castro for so long

MANY people mysteriously disappear in plane accidents. It happens quite often in the atlantic. Its kind of ridiculous to say Castro did it. Well, did he kill all the other random people whos planes have never been found?

maybe it was da CIA, Matos was trying to get rid of Castro at the time. He even flew very close to the building that che was in once.

they say that when che left cuba the only picture left in his office was a simple portrait of camilio. He was devesated by his death and yeah he was put on the cover of guerilla warfare...
and to this day cienfuegos's picture is on the wall above che desk in la casa del che.
