    Today I bought:

Amen: "We have come for your parents" (£6)
Rage against the machine : Rage against the machine (£7.99)

And I didn't go to HMV, Virgin or anywhere else like that!

Sorry, I just had to share my joy at this wonderful day! I'm listening to RATM and it's soooooooooo good.

Well I hate to sound ignorant but I don't have the best definitions. however i'll try the best I can.

Activists are people who notice what is going on in the world and draw people's attention to it. They take part in demonstrations, they write articles and basically try to educate the masses as to what is happening to them when they do not realise it themselves.

Pacifists are against violence in any form, they will not go to war, they will not hit someone if someone provokes them, etc.

Therefore a pacisfist activist is someone who takes part in only non-violent demos, which are the most effective.

There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror... --- Mark Twain

right arm! thanks metal bunny, i appreciate the sharing of your thoughts. when i say right arm! i mean that your protected under its shadow. it takes courage to speak out.

i see that rage against the machine has influenced you in a positive way, that is good. i hold them in the most highest respect, they have alot of heart. there are other bands that are involved in the community as well which i may pay tribute. of course, the music is different only i tend to look at the works and not so much the style.

continue to do as you like. if being an activists is where your heart is then don't let anyone discourage you. no one can determine what your position should be and every one has a different calling. do the best with yours.

have you ever heard of passive aggressive? lol. well, thats me. first, i try passive then if that doesnt work its aggressive.

    actually, its ragemonster!

bornofzapatasguns, you speak truth. i wish i could express how i feel. how does one not take it personal? soon, i will be moving forward and with confidence. i found no contradictions in logic and in the truths aquired along the way. i found myself in love with a contradicting character, today, i love him still more than my own life. its a memory i can cherish. its what motivates me to the depths of hell where i know the sun will shine there too. its what i had to do.

ireallyhadablackout, thanks for your words of support. I didn't say it first, I have to admit, I "borrowed" it from somewhere but I can't remember where now. However I am not really much of an activist  but I do try to spread the word at school and fail miserably as I am stifled by lots of rich conservatives

I've never really heard much RATM before but i really love this album, apparently it's their best. They are also a lot better than Audioslave in my opinion, just based on their music, nothing else, but then I don't really like Chris Cornell.

BoZG, I don't think I understand what you mean, would you please clarify for me?

metalbunny, its not easy at first nor is it complicated. remember what brought us together, the revolutionary Che and for this we are thankful. injustice is what we aspire not political or economic status. the last time i checked we were in an economic empire, so be it.

i know the young people here are good because they believe in something better. for the world to lable every action and every thought made by the youth and the steadfast is unfair. believe it or not, its love that brings me here. i live on glimps of hope.

i had an idea the other day. little kids are amazing. do you know any? if so, talk to them. offer to help them with school work or ask the parents if you can take them to school. they have a special wisdom. is there free lunch for all kids in school? rich or poor? if not, why not? kids need to be treated equally. at a young age we are being taught rich and poor, good and bad, pretty and ugly. try starting there. if you need help for ideas, i could possibly help. try the kids, you might be glad that you did. let me know how it goes.

another idea is research. ah, yes did you forget. take your time there are many things to do. maybe you could start a post on new ideas, forget the old, your the activists so do what you like.

as far as Zapata, ah he represents the law of the most high. it is seen in his works. do we fight the same way he fought? i would say not so. he left words of the revolutionary experience. we honor his courage, his love, his strength and his obedience and we must take account his words.

we must fight metal bunny and there are more ways than one. you will do fine.
