Default Anti-fascists prevent BNP leader from entering Manchester Town Hall...

Anybody watching Sky News or BBC would have just seen a small but committed group of anti-fascists (some with red and black flags) engaging in a bit of a protest and trying to prevent Nicky G from entering the Election count.

Sky news says 'anti-fascism protesters prevent Nick Griffin from entering Manchester Town Hall.'

It's not that big a deal . . . not yet, anyway. There are many fascists in the EU - have been for years - but the fascist take-over seems a long, long way away. It means very little in the long run. And they'll never get a seat in the commons without proportional representation.

Yeah they did well, but at one point many of them were up close to the car which was left unscathed it seems, UAF probably did ruin it and the police presence was massive.. can't expect much in fairness.

Daily mail said a car window got smashed.

Not much of a win for the day, but the little victories matter I guess...

I mean that without proportional representation they are very unlikely to enter parliament. All they can hope for is more non-jobs in Europe and in local government.

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/image...07467773-1.jpg <- that is one of the best pictures yet on the BBC news article.. shielding himself with the Daily Star which he did actually read according to that link from the independent:

sat on a bar stool reading the Daily Star, whose front page read "The Yolk's on You".

would have been a different copy.

He brought along a bundle of newspapers to the press conference to show the press that they had been against him yet he still won.

    Well
Several newspapers, including the Manchester Evening News and The Sun, were banned from attending "because of the lies they have printed", Mr Griffin said.
that's quite a lot of newspapers, naturally he must have been carrying a limited choice of em' in conjunction with that, still I guess that the daily star did simply report it "as it was".

Simon Darby's blog claims that the meeting in manchester actually took place. While I doubt that it did, it would be good to get some confirmation on this.
