    I am against the making of this film.
    While the intentions of the film may be good (75th Birthday etc) I think it is probably for the sole purpose of making money. Would Che have wanted a film made about him? I doubt it. I think a film would make Che into a fictional character. Yeah, it would make him more famous but in entirely the wrong way. Unless the film is very skillfully made, people could get the wrong impression of Che.
    That's my opinion anyway, feel free to disagree if you want.

    I don't agree with a movie being made. Seeing as it would be made in the U.S. wouldn't that be just more American propaganda against everything Che fought for and lost his life for?

    This morning (Oct. 9th), I heard about a movie about Che. It is to be made by the demand of the Argentinian people, and will be based on his motorcycle diary. It's a cool book, with lots of humor in it, and I think it will be good.

    It'll be quite a shit move, if its a hollywood. It will be anti-communist, pro-american. Did anyone see evita? The guy who played Che in that would be good. [Antonio Boreneas?] He was in the mask of Zorro.

    Yer, Antonio Banderas was supposed to represent Che in Evita's film, but it's a surrealist movie based on the Rock Opera. Actually he was not even in Argentina when Evita died in 1952- He was on his Mototrcylce trips around Latin America (the first one).

    films about people are almost always over dramatised and therefore inacurate.

    if presumably, the director wants to make as much money as he can he will try to appeal to an american market and by doing so i belive very little about the film will be accurate appealing to right wingers

    If it turns out anything like Malcolm X, with del Toro making a breakthrough performance like Denzel did, then it'll probably be worth watching.
    O, why should wrath be mute, and fury dumb?
    I am no baby, I, that with base prayers
    I should repent the evils I have done:
    Ten thousand worse than ever yet I did
    Would I perform, if I might have my will;
    If one good deed in all my life I did,
    I do repent it from my very soul.

    does anybody have a link to a website with more information on this? i have to agree with those who are against this film. it's almost as bad as all these people you see walking around with Che t-shirts who know nothing about the struggle.
