yeah i saw @ okayplayer that this one was released.
All of his tunes are dope, but if he features other (okayplayer's) artists on their tracks he's on his best!
What am I talkin...on his own he's a lyrical genius too.....I like the way he "tells his stories".....

I heard The Neptunes are doing his beats, is that true?

I hope NOTT! Neptune-beats are okay but i dont think Common she mess with his sounds. I like it the way it is now and he shouldnt be mixin it with those Neptunes-beats. Than it would sound just the same like Britney, Justin, Noreaga, Clipse, Jay-Z & ofcourse N*E*R*D*.....

like i said, the ones he did with the artists who got like.....the "okayplayers-sounds".
Common feat. erykah, talib, the roots, jill scott a.o. Most of those tracks I can digg.....
Mary J's first album (whats the 411) was good. After that she wasn't the queen of soul for me.

Alright, I'm listenin to the CD right now, diggin the first couple tracks. The song Come Close with Mary J Blige was in fact produced by The Neptunes, as well as I Got a Right Ta. Haven't listened to these tracks yet, but I'll keep ya posted.

Ok quick update (On track 5 now). This CD isn't like Common's older stuff, but I'm really into #5 (The Hustle). I guess this the party track on the CD but I'm still listenin. Peace out, still waiting for that Neptunes track to come up.

i listened to rage tonight. damn i really do like that band.
right on.
I'm not against the Neptunes stuff, I think they did produce alot of good tracks for other artists. But these two tracks on Electric Circus sucked alot of ass. I say: Stick to what you know, keep messin around with your commercial bling bling boys. Don't quit your day job Neptunes.
