I saw an advert for a tv programme about terrorists and i was shocked to see a picture of Che!!

My people are to considered terrorists by 3 seperate nations.

Reasons for this are that we want independence, freedom and for other people to stop persecuting, killing and raping our country.

In my country it has been illeagal to speak my native language, no children are allowed to be called by kurdish names and many many more incidents that are far too many to mention.

    We are the terrorists!!

The British did the exact same thing here in Ireland. Poets and songwriters were not allowed to refer to Ireland in their writings, they made an attempt to wipe out our language (in which they very nearly succeeded) - yet our people have always been called the terrorists.

I am kurdish (split between iraq, turkey iran and syria)

the only way back to kurdistan is via one of these countries.

the last time i went back i went through turkey, on the way back we had some letters and postcards with the word 'Kurdistan' writen on them. the turkish soldiers tore them all up in front of us and said "no kurdistan" I replied to him that he was standing on kurdish soil so "yes kurdistan".

It amuses me to think how they would deal with my 'Kurdistan' tatoo (possible amputation of the arm!!)

Since you're from Kurdistan, I want to ask your opinion of something -- What do you think of the U.S. potentially invading Iraq? True, there a lot of arguments to be made against American aggression, but Iraq has mercilessly persecuted the Kurds for years. Would you support the United States?

Terrorist is the term du jour unfortuently. What was known as freedom fighters are now terrorists. This is a great play on words and the media. When Americans attacked the British they weren't terrorists, no, they were revolutionaries and freedom fighters. All of them were heroes. By today's standards all the American "freedom fighters" would be a terrorists.
    Definition of a terrorist.
The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

Your only a terrorists to those that make profit of your exploitation and the masses that believe it.

For decades the IRA were freedom fighters to the US, most of their funding came from rich Americans. Suddenly, after the 11th Sept 2001, they were reclassified, I wonder why?

the IRA are being called terrorist because they are fighting the british, and since england is the number one satelite state of the US they consider the IRA to be terrorist as well

"Uh, they haven't gone away you know."

Seriosuly, I'm really not sure what's going on. Sinn Fein have taken the path of many a petty bourgeois and betrayed the working class, and there are rumours that there's been a small, but steady, amount of IRA members joining other groups.

I am afraid i do not have a definate answer i have mixed feelings about the whole thing.

Firstly i will never support imperialist america in the killing of yet morre innocent lives by its police brutality because this is what will happen. thousands of innocent people will be killed in the name of 'stability'.

i am however interested to know what would happen if they did attack and what regime would take the place of the current one. if afghanistan is any example i fear for the future of my country and for the rest of iraq.

my biased oppinion is that i would support anyone who could guarantee the kurds their freedom under any circumstance no matter how many innocent iraqis are killed. this may sound cold hearted but innocent kurds have been killed for many a hundred years and it is time it stoped, we have suffered enough.
