    Default Pre-Capitalist Socio-Economic Formations

I am not sure where to put this, but this looks like the best place.

Back in 2007 I wrote an article about the development of firearms in a magical world (assuming one working in accordance with the rules of D&D 3.5). The thing is, this was VERY influenced by a particular text in the volume Pre-Capitalist Socio-Economic Formations.

At the time, I was borrowing that book. Now I don't have access to it. Unable to remember the text I was influenced by, I was wondering if anyone knew how to get me hands on the Contents of it, so I can go through marxists.org or somewhere else text by text to find that particular one.

Would anyone know of a link that would provide me with said Contents?

And no, it is not 'pre-capitalist economic formations' I am looking for. That was the first thing I checked.

I don't think I can give you exactly what you're looking for, but if you want a good book on the matter (although parts of it is dated), try Kropotkin's Mutual Aid. I finished reading it about 2 hours ago. 3 chapters out of 5 are dealing with concrete exemples of what we would call "primitive communism".

Nah. Not interested in anarchism at the moment. Especially an Anarcho-Imperialist like Kropotkin.

The work in particular, just to give a clue that will help noone, was about the collapse of feudalism, and the part that I am thinking of in particular was talking about the formation of the absolute monarchy, and how contrary to popular myths, gunpowder wasn't necessary in the destruction of the nobility. Rather the use of debt to buy them out forcing the freeing of the serfs in exchange for money payments, and how even before gunpowder, pikes and trebuchets were doing in the knights and castle-bound nobility...

Mmm... okay. But the book isn't dealing with anarchism, at all, but with the history of human society from primitive communism to the raise of feudalism and capitalism.

Sounds interesting. If you find what you want, don't forget us and post the title.
