A loosely free fighter in his own personal war against the USA.
You mean "against all muslims who don't share his f*cked up interpretation"?

Ofcourse he is!, he wants to liberate women from making their own choices, people in general from a society where homosexuals and other such heretics arent stoned.
    All while killing random people.

Sounds like a freedom fighter to me.
That sums it up pretty much so I guess I'll leave the sarcasm and irony away and just say: Bin Laden is a mad fanatic and a big reactionary who fights for things which couldn't have less to do with freedom. So he's definitely not a freedom fighter, he's a opression fighter.

If fire-fighters fight fire, what do freedom-fighters fight? If you use the word in this sense, then yes, Osama is a freedom-fighter. I guess Reagan is a hero too, with that logic.

He's not exactly a freedom fighter. While I admire his anti-imperialist stances (he fought against a revisionist USSR, and now he fights against the United States), his opinions on religion, women, and homosexuality (among other things) are against basically everything socialism stands for. He uses terrorism, an ineffective weapon that only ostracizes the masses from the real struggle, turning them against the revolution and towards America.

I seriously cannot believe that right now we have 6 people who voted 'yes'. Its not only the 'yes' vote that catches my my but also the fact that these people have the audacity to describe themselves as leftists - with one idiot shouting out "Allah Aukbar".

Bin Laden is reactionary scum who plays on the minds of young Muslims by brainwashing them into his sadistic society. This is a rich, son of the billionaire Bin Laden family going to a foreign country and terrorizing the lives of Working class people for the sake of his interpretations of the Koran.

He is an enemy of the working class. Does not care for workers welfare. Is Homophobic. Is Sexist. Is a religious fanatic. All elements not welcome in a revolutionary context. He is also a scapegoat for Imperialist America.
"It is we the workers who built these palaces and cities here in Spain and in America and everywhere. We, the workers, can build others to take their place. And better ones! We are not in the least afraid of ruins. " - Buenaventura Durutti

"The life of a single human being is worth a million times more than all the property of the richest man on earth." - Ernesto Che Guevara.

"Its Called the American dream, because you gotta be asleep to believe it". - George Carlin

Bin Laden has the biggest bayonet. The west attacks him because they are jealous of his bayonet, and mad about the fact that Bin Ladens bayonet propably has been inside their girlfriends. All his victims were like: "Your bayonet hurts, but in a good way!" I have proof of this all. Bin Laden is written with B, which is pronounced almost like P. P on the other hand stands for phallic.

There you go. All one needs to know about Bin Laden.

No. He has willingly acted as a scapegoat so the US would have a pretense to invade parts of the Middle East. His supporters are also blowing up legitimate resistance movements.

I wrote a "free" fighter, a voluntaryist, that is, a vanguardist which thinks he can do even a revolution by means of his sole willpower. People like commandant Carlos (my avatar), Baader-Meinhof group, etc. have been very appealing to petit bourgeois voluntaryists.

He is not a freedom fighter, he fights for his ideology. But the important point is that he is enemy of my enemy..

Which means absolutely nothing when the enemy of our enemy is a sexist, homophobic, brainwashing, islamic fundamentalist, rich nutter.
"Direct Action is a notion of such clarity, of such self-evident transparency, that merely to speak the words defines and explains them. It means that the working class, in constant rebellion against the existing state of affairs, expects nothing from outside people, powers or forces, but rather creates its own conditions of struggle and looks to itself for its means of action. It means that, against the existing society which recognises only the citizen, rises the producer. And that that producer, having grasped that any social grouping models itself upon its system of production, intends to attack directly the capitalist mode of production in order to transform it, by eliminating the employer and thereby achieving sovereignty in the workshop – the essential condition for the enjoyment of real freedom.” Emile Pouget

I'm going to close this thread now, because the poll is ridiculous and I don't see the discussion going anywhere.
