I actually went looking for that post yesterday, because benhur's thread reminded me of it. But apparently it was deleted. For shame. I thought it was pretty damn funny, in its own uniquely fucked-up way.
What's the matter Lagerboy, afraid you might taste something?

Who was the guy who ended every single post with HAIL CCCP!
I miss him.
Ivan "Bonebreaker" Khutorskoy16.11.2009"We won't forget, we won't forgive"
Where's Comrade Marcel? His politics weren't great, but his Antifa stuff was pretty cool.
"The class war begins in the desecration of our ancestors: millions of people going to their graves as failures, forever denied the experience of a full human existence, their being was simply cancelled out. The violence of the bourgeoisie's appropriation of the world of work becomes the structure that dominates our existence. As our parents die, we can say truly that their lives were for nothing, that the black earth which is thrown down onto them blacks out our sky."

He had a cool avatar
"The nationalism of the workers belonging to an oppressor nation binds them to their rulers and only does harm to themselves, while the nationalism of an oppressed nation can lead them to fight back against those rulers."
- Chris Harman
"What do you call a thousand IMF economists lying at the bottom of the sea...?
... A good start" - Russian joke
you're not missing much.
anyhoo: I miss Praire Fire and all our other Stalinists, I miss Chimx, I miss Luis (who shared my 'daily mail' esque critique of how to deal with child abusers), I miss Martov who was funny as fuck when I first came here, and I miss a shit load of other people who made the place alot more interesting.
Who was he? I must find him and kill him to secure my legacy!
Anyone remember Bogovich?
PETER
Human beings weren't meant to sit in little cubicles, starring at computer screens all day, filling out useless forms and listening to eight different bosses drone on about mission statements.
MICHAEL
I told those fudge-packers that I like Michael Bolton's music. God.
I know someone who will for sure....

You're never over
Basically the greatest/drunkest member ever to come by these parts. When I first arrived I believe he was moding, yes I said moding, the graphics forum.
I would also ad Rueben to the list.
I distinctly remember hating super hard on his politics but having total respect for his antifa work as well. He got banned after...something happened. I think he talked shit about some admins on his blog and then maybe revealed some CC information publicly or something? I don't remember all the details, but he was kind of a disagreeable motherfucker right up until the end.
You know Martov is Marsella don't you? She has some really really cool politics. Pity she got banned, and banned, and banned, etc.
Heh, many, if not most, of the "senior" members have been mods at one stage or another. I think AK47 (Invader Zim) and myself are two who haven't. I'm trying to think of anyone else, but can't.
Yeah, he was banned.
I don't think we should have permanent banning for people. I think for folks like him, RNK, and certain other folks, they fuck up once, perhaps they go through a bad time, and they are never welcomed back.
Well, I know that members have come back after being banned, and weren't subsequently rebanned (even when it was obvious who it was). Maybe there could be a general policy that if someone returns after a year, they don't get automatically rebanned?
That was Junius. Janus was some sort of extenion of the board.

"It is illogical and incorrect to reduce everything to the economic [socialist] revolution, for the question is: how to eliminate [political] oppression? It cannot be eliminated without an economic revolution... But to limit ourselves to this is to lapse into absurd and wretched ... Economism." - Lenin
"[During a revolution, bourgeois democratic] demands [of the working class] ... push so hard on the outer limits of capital's rule that they appear likewise as forms of transition to a proletarian dictatorship." - Luxemburg
“Well, then go forward, Tower of Bebel! [August] Bebel is one of the most brilliant representatives of scientific international socialism. His writings, speeches and works make up a great tower, a strong arsenal, from which the working class should take their weapons. We cannot recommend it enough… And if the [International] deserves to be named Tower of Bebel... well, then we are lucky to have such a Tower of Bebel with us.” - Vooruit
Ian and STUEB were actually two different people!
There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror... --- Mark Twain
