I have to write a bio on a 20th century political figure, so i chose, you guessed it, El Che. I think i have it under control but feedback would still be greatly appreciated... Anyone have any ideas? Anything i absolutely have to include?

You should talk about his post mortem conversion from a Revolutionary and a Communist to a pop icon and a symbol of teen rebellion (esp. in the states). Also talk about his particular style of Marxism and theories of world revolution.

BTW, what requirements do you have to meet with this paper, if any?

Make sure you make the point that he was assassinated illegally by the US trained bolivians, after he was in captivity. In other words, he was killed for his ideas.

Make sure you note that he wrote a great deal and was published on many topics (refer to Amazon.com for all the listings)

Some of the info that malte has on the Che-lives wesite is also useful and I also find the Argentinian Che websites good if you don't mind slogging thru Spanish.

Well, he was executed. He wasnt given a trial if thats what you mean. And he was killed for being today's equivelance of a terrorist, not just because of his ideas.

Only requirements for the paper are that it must be based on a 20th century political figure who changed the world in some way... I believe Che has done plenty of this, both as a hero to those who remember what he stood for, and as a liberator for all the people he helped. Well, that and it has to be two pages... haha.. No problem...

Thanks guys for the ideas, I'll definitely include them, and I'll post it here when I'm done if either of you would be interested.

    2 pages? Poor Che!!

Open the paper with Sartre's quote that Che was "perhaps the most complete human being of our age"

Hey all this beats our history, where it is nessacerry to talk on the nazis for two pages!

consider yourself a lucky guy. writing to pages on racist anti jew crap is if anything, boring. but i suppose you have to learn from the lessons that have cropped up throughout history.

    good luck

This may be too late but Yeah, it would be very good to link it to present day. His fight was obviously more just than most of the modern day terrorists and real, although under todays new wave of Western Patriotism and racism, he would be a TERRORIST!

He was murdered without trial while in the custody of the CIA green berets and their trained Bolivian assassins.
