I am pretty sure that the Bolivians cut off che's hands because they feared him more in death. Where are the hands though? Are they in a museum? or are they in some old Bolivian soldier's closet? Is it also true that they decapitated him after his execution? This may only be a rumour but I wish to know.

My understanding is that Che's hands are currently residing within a large bottle of Formaldehyde.

I believe they are in the care of a Bolivian, and talks have been held for a while now to get them back to Cuba (the Bolivian wants to send them back, but political issues surround the situation.) The Bolivian also has something else of Che's (he was given these by the Bolivian Army), but I can't remember what it was.

I do not believe that Che was beheaded. They just wanted his hands removed to prove that he was dead.

    Rapist In The Red Suit,

Che's hands are binding you in ducttape. Feels good don't it?

They are in Cuba. I read some time ago that a Bolivian politician who liked socialist ideas stole them from Bolivia and offered Che's hands and also his Bolivian diary to the Cuban people. It was a little time after Che's death. His hands should be in Cuba at the moment.

Che's Hands were removed after his execution. The Bolivian Rangers did it to prove that they had caught Che, as a form of identification. They were kept in a cask in the Museum of the Revolution in Havana. Now I think they are reunited with the body in the Che memorial in Santa Clara. The appendixes in Jon Lee Anderson's biography of Che give more detail.

what the hell is going on with this "rapist in a red suit" stuff? I've seen you call him that in several posts now, and I really wanna know what's going on. I mean, I don't like man in a red suit, and I think he's a fascist, but I'm wondering if he's worse.

I am not a fascist, rascist, or any other vile bullshit you've been calling me. I've apologized on many occasions about the things I said about Palestine and the peircings. I don't see why you people don't understand the concept of forgive and a forget.

I AM NOT A GOD DAM FASCIST!! i am a socialist and proud of it. The two don't exactly go together. I am very sick and tired of all you calling me such plutocratic bullshit! I have nothing against any of you. I have know idea why you have some confused hatred for me. Please leave me alone!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I'm glad you didn't see the joke. It was completely unsensitive and cruel. I should of never put it up in the first place. I simply have a sick sense of humour and for that I apologize, especially to the firey history guy.

Che's hands are preserved inhis mausoleum in Santa Clara in Cuba. Some of the Bolivian soldiers wanted to decapitate him, but they compromised by taking his hands.

I've heard a couple different stories about Che's hands. I heard that they were sent back to Cuba and Castro has them in a jar of formaldahyde, and has shown them to his closest friends.( I read that in Fidel: A critical Potrait, i think). And I've also read in Guevara, also known as Che that they were buried with the sleaves of some green fatigues with commanders stripes, and buried them in a small casket under a statue of Jose Marti, it's really hard to tell what to believe on anything having to do with Che after his capture. It also is trueBolivian Rangers did want to cut of Che's head but some CIA guy didn't want them to look to barbaric, so he told them not too. Weird.
