Right Wing / Left Wing Media - There is no such thing as Lef

It seems to me as an American of 32 years, that the Media is actually only ever two things… it is ‘even-handed’ meaning it's ‘playing both sides’ or it is right wing. I have absolutely no idea where the Rush L. Disciples get their ideas from (when not being brain washed by Rush that is)

It seems to me that these days every major TV and radio station is in computation to find the most conservative idiot to host their show.

But… Simply being a far right wing nut case that many of the republicans find a bit too much (Rush) is simply not enough these days… no… today for example, I saw one of these right wing nuts call a fellow conservative a “Liberal-Leftist” when he said he was against Bible study in a courthouse in Alabama.

In fact, I don’t remember ever… hearing a left wing T-V show. Recently Phil D. Came back with a center left show and seems to be running scared, and avoiding controversial political issues.

So Please tell me… where do these idiotic ****-serve-itive nut-jobs get the idea that the media is anything but

I don't think CI is worth talking to. His name betrays the values patriotic Americans claim to live for: "liberty, freedom, justice, blah blah blah". Capitalism violates all three. Every one of those networks is center-right. CNN is perhaps the most credible as they try to be more even handed as I said, but come out being on the right.

ALL of the political talk shows on CNN are right wing shows. Most of the talk shows on the radio are also right wing, in fact for anyone to truly find any slightly left wing media one would have to listen to National Public Radio.

The media espouses right-wing ideals constantly, and makes no secret of it. What the ultra-rightwing maniacs are complaining about is the occasional even-handed and factual report that shows the concerns of leftists and then discredits them by talking to rightwingers who know better.

They cannot even handle hearing about other's oppinions without attributing them to the network that tells them about them, quite sad really.

The simple fact is, if the media was even slightly moderate (not "leftist" but simply objective) everyone in the country would know that several of the people in the Bush administration were planning the invasion of Iraq before the 2000 election and planned an invasion and occupation whether or not Saddam was still in power...it would be widely known that this administration is quite openly in favor of a world-wide American empire and a policy of maintaining a unipolar world by thwarting any European attempts to gain world influence! This would sound like crazy talk to most Americans but the fact is that it is all very well documented. There is completely incontrovertable proof that the Bush administration's goal has been to undermine the authority of the UN from the begining. Hell, they are even openly in favor of militarizing space and excercizing complete American control of THE INTERNET!

I don't categorically deny that the US has a vested interest in strengtheneing its sphere of influence and expanding/maintaining its interests, but I believe that this poilcy would be good for America and the world.

I have stated from the beginning that petroleum interests are in fact a factor in Iraq (but not the only one). I fully support US petroleum initatives wherever they occur.
