The IYC is forming Rapid Response & Community Defense Networks across LA County & WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO RESIST POLI-ICE!
The Immigrant Youth Coalition (IYC) is an undocumented and Queer/Trans youth-led organization based in California. We mobilize and train immigrant youth, families and incarcerated community members to organize to end the criminalization, detention and deportations.
This training will include:
• Overview of tactics used by ICE to detain and place community in deportation proceedings.
• Best Practices for Poli-ICE Watch: Recording & Reporting Best
• Raid Response: best practices to respond to raids and support community post-raid
• Community Self-Defense Strategies based on grassroots organizing and building community power!
*We are building a team that will be ready to respond in the SGV area*
WE ASK ATTENDEES COMMIT AT LEAST 2-3 HOURS A WEEK FOR RAPID RAID RESPONSE*

La Coalición de Jóvenes Inmigrantes (IYC) es una organización estatal con liderazgo de jóvenes LBGTQ y inmigrantes basada en California. Movilizamos y entrenamos a jóvenes inmigrantes, families y personas detenidas a organizar contra la criminalización, detention y deportaciones.
El entrenamiento va incluir:
• Panorama de el sistema de detención, deportación y criminalización.
• Nuestros Derechos al Filmar y Reportar actividad de Poli-Migra.
• Estrategias de Defensa Comunitaria Contra la Poli-Migra: como podemos organizar para construir poder comunitario.
*Estamos construyendo un equipo de respuesta rápida en el Valle de San Gabriel*
PEDIMOS A PERSONAS QUE PARTICIPEN EN EL ENTRENAMIENTO QUE SEAN VOLUNTARIOS POR LO MENOS 2-3 HORAS A LA SEMANA PARA EL EQUIPO DE RESPUESTA RAPIDA.
