People already taking to the interstate and being blocked by cops. Schools have let out early and canceled. Businesses are closing in down town.




Berkeley is occupied by tanks and pigs now authorized to use pepper spray after a 20 year ban to better protect an array of fascist organizing events in the coming week. Cops attacked NLG observers and deployed weapons against random people in puddle town in order to protect fascist organizing. In Vancouver WA, a fascist tried to kill people with his truck and the police detained him and let him go. Police continue to maim and kill everywhere, etc.. The cops and klan go hand in hand.

To reiterate, as this cop was chasing Anthony Lamar Smith, he stated that he was going to murder him, and then he did.

It looks like all events in St Louis are being canceled through the evening, some things on some roads are being boarded up, there is a massive police/national guard presence and they're covering or removing their name tags, people have been pepper sprayed for blocking transit. There are people in the street open carrying. The city is getting shut down.

It's going down in St Louis again, pretty big demo blocking traffic, the mom of anthony lamar smith was at the front of the march or still is. According to a brief tweet by someone, someone said 'half of us here are armed'. The tone is that of people being glad to be together in the street.

Yesterday/last night saw 30+ arrests and 11 injured cops. Reports on those injured by the police are few and far between and i'd imagine there are quite a few, nevermind having to run from them and their chemical weapons, and the reason people are in the street to begin with.

Live streams end and videos get deleted in case anyone is wondering why this is like a bullet point of what's happening.

The main organizers or who people are calling organizers called the march off at some point and told everyone to go home and come back tomorrow. It was a successful demo for what they had in mind.

Now there's about 20 riot cops and a bunch of people still there in the street confronting them, against the suggestion of the police and the organizers. White cops smiling at people who are upset.



Some time later, an alleged projectile was thrown at police, police moved people to the sidewalk, or tried, based on the live streams going on. Police were momentarily surrounded.

Reported that people are reassembling and picking up bricks, looks like it's on. And an obligatory fucking up of a starbucks happened.

Police presence increased and threat of tear gas given that it's an unlawful assembly, declared by police.

In response, windows are apparently getting fucked up, a lot.

7 people arrested so far and a massive police presence behind armored vehicles. Where the fuck is the NLG.

Tweets going out about how employees of various businesses have to clean up the glass that was shattered, but given that the area where the smash happened is considered the dividing line between white and black st louis, and given that all the employees I see on the photos are white, I think its safe to say that the media won't be able to peddle the "THEY'RE SMASHING BLACK BUSINESSES/ THEY'RE DESTROYING THEIR OWN COMMUNITY" lines.

Apparently organizers are now condemning tonight's events. "if you can't come here peacefully, don't come at all". Sounds a lot like what the Police are saying, eh? "If you can't get killed by us peacefully then we'll escalate our actions against you" and the objective reality is 'if you come peacefully we'll fuck you up anyways'. It's not a "peaceful situation" when the police are killing people. That's the baseline. That's the "peace".

The Guardian's reporting of the events: 'Ed Sheeran Concert might be cancelled!'. Ugh, get the fuck out.

I'll wonder out-loud here if there was a strategic consensus reached on-the-ground by the participants as to how to approach the situation -- in some cases it *may be* strategically better to take a 'peaceful' tack, but it's *most often* a politically inappropriate stance, I'd say.

I really don't like U2/bono. There were statements that their shows were canceled for safety concerns but now there's reports largely by them that they canceled their events themselves which I some how doubt given the list of everything else that was shut down and canceled. Bono also drew some 'inspiring' shit on a napkin or something because he was so emotionally moved by everything and I immediately scrolled faster and said the same 'ugh, get the fuck out'. :lol:


To clarify, it appeared as though the organizers left after their march. They were trying to get people to leave, then they left, afaik. People hung around and the police came out in force and were confronted peacefully. At some point an hour or so later the police allege they were attacked, i think a tweet said by a water bottle. Then things kicked off. Afterwards, an organizer who either showed back up or was present during it said the bit about peace. I didn't see/hear anything mentioned about jail support, solidarity, more antagonism against the police, it was all about a loss of his control over his subjects. For perspective, I thought the officially organized march was a good response too.

The police were hit with paint early on and didn't respond, and they had people right up on their line yelling at them pretty much all night without a response. Afaik, all of the economic destruction both nights was in wealthy suburbs, shopping areas, and against the police. I'm looking for better sources right now since StlToday had up to date info but obviously a one sided narrative. I want to know if people are challenging the control from the organizers, media, and police.

People don't realize, or so they pretend, that the reason things are shut down is because of previous community action and not simply the potential for it. Heavily armed police stand guard at highway on-ramps because people have caused destruction to the order in that way in the past, windows on businesses are boarded up in advance because people have caused direct economic and indirect social damage to the order in that way in the past, barricades are guarded by police because they have been torn down or repurposed in the past, events are shut down because of safety concerns because people have not been willing to let the world slide on as expected and have disrupted that order in the past. Clergy suggesting that it is their inaction that is causing these things instead of non-violent and violent actions as community defense, is fittingly vampiric.

Also 'community defense' is a bit off too and strips away the reality that communities can act first.

St louis police just tried to grab people from an unmarked car at the demo, either realized they were the wrong people or decided not to make the arrest because they were in the middle of the demo, they then reversed the car through the crowd almost running people down.



Hella smash, people running through the city throwing stuff everywhere, windows everywhere broken, the corpses of plants litter the street ripped straight from their stupid decorative pots, and the police are trying to catch people, chasing after dispersing people yelling at them to disperse, armored vehicles are threatening empty streets, police are panicking swearing at each other, asking what to do, riot squads are in complete disarray jouissance

I think on all three nights, especially sunday night, people proved what happens when the racist system allows the police to murder members of their community and then walk free. Neither undercover cops, riot squads, or the national guard could stop what happened. This isn't the most powerful facet of insurrection, it is only a single instance within it.

It's still going. A tweet read that as a riot line moved in, the rhythmic baton on shields sound was met with similar clapping sound from the other side. I really love that. But now the remaining people in the street are kettled and being arrested, while observers and media are being told to leave. Imo, the demos tomorrow could shut down the highways and demand the release and dropping of charges of those arrested.


According to a recent tweet, police made the last of the arrests in the kettle and then chanted 'whose streets, our streets'. It's literally midnight, empire is collapsing.

There's gonna be major legal landslide against the police because of last night.

St Louis has still had protests every night. Tonight the police tased and pepper sprayed someone, and then pepper sprayed some more.
