Politics poll
What political philosophy do you consider yourself a follower of?
-
First of all, in this section of the forums, there are no primitivists or capitalists. So, this should be moved to OI.
Second, why?

Agreed. moved.

I like that I'm able to pick more than one thing. I totally went with "Marxist Maoist Anarcho-Primitivist Other". I could explain but I don't think anybody cares.
I hope I don't get restricted. I'm just saying, if you'd restrict me, you'd also restrict the author of
this - and it's on marxists.org! I mean, come on, we all know that marxists.org is the longterm goal of everyone on this site.
Except me. Because primitivism.
On a related note, I'm sad neither "throw-back anti-imp" nor "RAAN" made the cut.
-
I chose 'Stalinist Anarcho-Capitalist' ... because I can.
-
I chose anarcho-syndicalist. I also chose anarcho-nihilist, because it (from what I can gather from the name, which I've never come across before) sounds related to the phenomenological and existential nihilism that I subscribe to.
Also, "Stalinist" is generally an epithet; the term "Marxist-Leninist" is more appropriate. "Anarcho-capitalist" is a contradiction in terms - there is nothing legitimately anarchistic about "anarcho"-capitalism.
-
I am an anarcho-capitalist third worldist, the only true revolutionary ideology.
-
I'd be in the "other" category, none of the other options are close enough to my preferences.
-
Marxism-Leninism, Maoism, and Anarcho-Syndicalism.
-
Finally the Chinese menu of political polls. The masses rejoice.

want to pos rep you twice...

I do like the fact that this poll allows members to select more than one option. I selected both; 'Anarcho-syndicalist', (Unfortunately, the OP did not create an option for; 'Anarchists without adjectives.') and; 'Marxist.' I chose both because depending on what one means by; 'Marxism', Marx, certainly, as well as others like Pannekoek, Gorter, Luxemburg, etc., the difference is almost entirely semantic. I do believe, however that the poll leaves something to be desired. There are several options that probably should have been included; 'Trotskyist', for one, and some, like; 'Juche', that should not have been included. This, of course, is hardly unique. I would implore anyone thinking of creating polls, in the future, to exercise greater care when crafting the question, and the possible answers.

Absolutely. Anarchism has always been fundamentally anti- capitalist. Proudhon was a mutualist, and from Bakunin, to the present day, anarchism has been explicitly communist. 'Anarcho-capitalism' is an oxymoron, and anyone who identifies as such is a regular moron.
-
The OP also should've had syndicalist without adjectives, that way a person who is syndicalist but not anarchist (like me) could just select syndicalist, and an anarcho-syndicalist could still be included by selecting anarchism and syndicalism.
-
Marxist, Anarcho-Syndicalist, and Other.
Like NGNM85, I think there should have been a generic "Anarchist" option, but since there isn't I selected Anarcho-Syndicalism.
As for "Other", I think the fundamental idea behind
Technocracy - that modes of production based on
price systems are unsustainable in an era of abundance in materials and energy - is a sound one, and need not overshadow or supplant Marxist and anarchist critiques of the current socioeconomic order of things.
Also under "Other" I would place
Transhumanism. Although primarily a cultural and intellectual movement, it is one with huge political and social implications, and as technology continues to develop those implications will become all the more important with time. But I think we should be considering those implications now, when we have the opportunity to prepare the ground so to speak, and not when such developments are already upon us.
-
anarcho nihilist lol
-
Anarcho-Primitivism will just lead to another society being built in the aftermath.
Also, I picked Marxist.
-
Overall probably Christian Democrat or moderate liberal.
Economics: Ordoliberal, pro-social market economy, mildly Keynesian
Foreign policy: Liberal internationalist
Social Issues: Pro-life, otherwise socially liberal, strong believe in concept of "One Nation"
-
Four different anarcho flavors, but no Trotskyist option, so, in keeping with Lenin's opinion that "there has been no better Bolshevik than Trotsky," I chose Leninist.
-
Stalinist and proud!
-
Anarcho-syndicalist and Juche. Because if the union makes us strong, the Dear Leader makes us stronger.
-
That strange spelling of Juche.
-
ju-fucking-che
-
voted anarcho-primtivism-nihilism
-
What, no Trotskyist option? Have all the Trots been purged. So I picked Marxist (no hyphen) Leninist.
-

Don't be a goose, no one cares about trots.
-
I merely chose Leninist, as I thought it was a one option poll and that was closest to Trotskyism.
-
I picked marxist and anarcho-syndicalist. I consider myself a council communist and situationist.
-
Chose Leninist, but would've gladly picked Marxist (kinda the same). ;)
(let the shitstorm begin.)
-
Leninist. Had i known i could have picked more than one option, i would have picked Marxist as well.
-
I picked Stalinist, because it sounds koowl. Nah, I picked Marxist and Leninist.
