And it takes years off your life. Never read the comment sections of anything online - you'll live longer. Reading just one racist post in a comment section per day equals smoking two packs of cigarettes a day.

I don't know if there is much use in trying to debunk claims by racists or fascists, because for the most part they just make some hysterical emotional appeal based in nothing really. It may be more productive to try and debunk more widely used myths in the mainstream that people accept or adopt while not ever thinking it's racist logic.

At any rate, their main hysterical appeal is to a Hobbesian "war of each against all" in society which they then frame in racial-group terms "war of each racial group against all other racial groups". This has a broader appeal outside of fascist circles to the right and even some liberals because the Hobbesian view is promoted in the mainstream and because people do have to compete with each-other in capitalist conditions, both as workers or as small businesspeople.

We can argue on a logical basis (with people who don't consider themselves racists/"racialists" but might be confused or drawn to some of this logic) by taking the argument out of the sort of frames set up either in capitalist arguments or in fascist arguments. We can talk about how racial oppression of groups ultimately is part of an attempt to rob all workers. But ultimately I think it would take class struggles that can create a sense of organic solidarity, clarify and expose who actually is holding all the social and wealth cards (the ruling class, not this or that group), and show in practical terms how solidarity, rather than group-competition can win us "the whole cake" rather than just more crumbs than the next guy.

It's a shame that so many idiots on the internet buy into the right-wing conspiracy bullshit. They always sound as if there was a global communist/liberal system suppressing the "heroic" white man. They feel so smart and yet they only reproduce Goebbels' and their "Führer's" paranoid lunacy from 100 years ago.

Equating anti-racism with being anti-white is about as stupid as equating anti-Zionism with anti-semitism.

I think also we get a warped perception of racism in society from the internet. Not to downplay the ubiquitousness of racism in most of our countries, but I think the partial sucess of at least making overt white supremacy taboo in the mainstream has caused fascists to focus their energies online more. I'm in an organization of 100s, for example, and there are what 3 members of my org on this site - so while radicals might use the internet for some propaganda (blogs, etc) most of us in urban areas are able to do things in the community and so our main focus can be there whereas NAZIs can't have weekly meetings and their demonstrations have to be guarded by dozens of cops. So IRL they do a lot of kinda covert things, entryism into "respectable" far-right things like the minutmen or tea-party and sneak around trying to meet other racists in the ones and twos. But online they can have a community, they can gang-troll some liberal or radical website's comment sections etc.

With all due respect, I think you are wasting your time confronting people like this online in debate, especially in social media. By repeating this obnoxious racist meme (even for the purposes of attacking it), you are unwittingly disseminating their ideas. To the best of my knowledge, this 'anti-racist is a codeword for anti-white' meme is largely the handiwork of 14/88 blog (I'll leave you to ponder what that means). Doing it on social media YouTube is especially counterproductive. This is an uncontrolled environment so you will invariably get fascists creating hundreds of sock accounts and getting their friends from Stormfront or wherever to raid your page or video. This is oxygen to them.

Don't bother reading the comments section of videos like that on Youtube, all you will do is succeed in making yourself very pissed off at those types of people., I've noticed that people who shout mantras like "antiracism is a code for anti-white are basically stormfronters who are mad that society is moving away from tolerating their hate speech and want to try to play the victim by claiming that anti-racism is discrimination against them. They also tend to be they type of conspiracy idiots who believe in the "New World Order" and "the International Jewish conspiracy". Sadly people this ignorant rarely change their minds about anything so don't waste your time on them.

I would argue that anti-racism does entail the abolition of white privilege and white supremacy. If our actions don't work towards those goals, we fall into the trap of idealistically regarding so-called "reverse racism" as equally repugnant/responsible for inequality and oppression as "normal" racism, leading to ineffective action which does not address the root of the problem. They are not equals because one is not systemic/global and does not include hundreds of years of (ongoing) oppression. The concept of 'white pride' is reification of relationships of domination, subjugation, exploitation--psychological separation of the self from the dehumanized other, an expression of self-worth over others; black/brown pride, Négritude, etc. is identification of the self within "the other," A.K.A. solidarity.

Without racism, people would not be subjugated within oppressive cultures rooted in hundreds of years of anti-miscegenation laws that inform a large part about who you would start a family with, who your family is, and inculcates white supremacist standards of beauty. Since whiteness is constructed as a "recessive" trait, would it eventually cease to exist in a free society where it is not valued over others? Why this anxiety? It's interesting that despite this, more U.S. Americans whose ancestors came as cargo in slave ships identify as white than as African-American. It says something about how this system functions. While anti-racism is definitely anti-white supremacy, it does not mean anti-people with pale skin, who would of course still exist in a free egalitarian society, if not just due to albinism, but also because people in such a society would not feel the need to deny solidarity to their fellow human beings on the arbitrary basis 18th century pseudoscience.

The thing is the Nazis have much a bigger online presence than us, and it makes sense. If they said half the shit they said on scumfront they would be eaten and probably get the tar beat out of them. Where as if you say you are a communist or Anarchist in real life people usually laugh and don't take you seriously (I freaking hate that.

the social construction 'the white race' is the enemy though, it is the foundation of racism as it exists today and so to be 'anti racist' means to be 'anti white' because this historical construction needs to be destroyed. let the racists cry, racism needs to be destroyed and part of this is destroying 'race' as it exists today, especially 'the white race' as the pinnacle of racial supremacy

I have an anxiety disorder, and honestly, the whole "Anti-racist is a codeword for Anti-White" got me worried about going online for a month!! The so-called "mantra" is incredibly flawed! Just because we want people to get along and wipe out racism and prejudice, does not mean I want to demonize white people!! This idiocy is very hypocritical and I wish we could make a new campaign to counter white nationalist claims of "white genocide" and "ZOG" ;)1

Anybody talking about "reverse racism" like it's a systemic thing like regular racism needs to take a long walk on a short pier.
