former anti-abortion activist takes "pro-life" apart
Very long, but very worthwhile blogpost by a former anti-abortion activist that takes the "science", arguments and the intent of the "pro-life" movement apart;

I think one of the worst assumptions about abortion is that it's an abomination of modern medical science. People of intentionally terminating pregnancies since they've been planting, only know its a lot safer to do.
pretty bullshit article actually
her view seems to be that abortion is a necessary evil that can be lessened through liberalization
abortion should not be a shameful thing

Indeed, it's very irritating when people say things like "Well, abortion is a terrible thing but I
suppose it's a woman's choice; I
guess people should have autonomy over their bodies" as if to want abortions to be legal while simultaneously shaming women into not having them.
^Everything has to be black or white, does it?
This appears to be a common trend amongst pro-choice advocates, most of them don't even seem to be aware of why abortion was legallized in the first place.

With regards to abortion and those who choose to undergo such a procedure, well, I'd prefer that those not involved be respectful of her decision and not talk of how "shameful" it is.
