And because you've not been banned as you requested you feel an irresistible compulsion to come here?
Can anyone here say 'masochism"?
Just poppin in to state that I really despise the desire to just dismiss people you disagree with.:bored:

So you despise the
despisers.

But honestly, while perhaps I have been dismissive, Rafiq has written some lengthy intelligent posts that the trivas has not really bothered to give the response they warrant. But truthfully I think it is because he is incapable, so we can't really fault him for that.

Nope, both capitalism and socialism do not recognize that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resources and rationing resources through monetary methods is irrelevant and counter-productive to our survival.
Capitalism does not recognise that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resources, and therefore rations resources through monetary methods.
Socialism
is the recognition that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resources, and therefore that rationing resources through monetary methods is counterproductive to our survival.
In other words, capitalism is the cult of value, socialism is the struggle for the abolition of value.

OTC, socialism knows nothing re a
resource-based economy.

What the hell do you mean?
Peter Joseph uses a system analysis in his understanding that there cannot be an us-against-them mentality to get us to a sustainable resource-based economy. The earth is the common heritage of all people and therefore the "inherent contradictions" of all Marxian sociological analysis is avoided. PJ's analysis assumes a reductionistic understanding of science, not an historical understanding of it. If the zeitgeist movement changes nothing the hell with it -- PJ understands that most likely the human race will go the way of the dodo bird at this late stage of the game.
Whatever analysis he uses his mechanism for change is inherently idealist - "we cannot have an us-against-them mentality"? All this means is that we avoid the issue of the class relations of global capitalism; and from there it becomes impossible to prosecute the class struggle and dethrone the current system. So, once again, as we've seen in a thousand similar prescriptions from before Robert Owen and up to (and no doubt beyond) the Zeitgeist movement, the ruling power is left to continue on its path.
And to argue that the "Earth is the common heritage of all people" is pure utopian twaddle under the present social relations that dominate the people of the Earth. So it doesn't avoid the "contradictions of Marxian sociology" so much as the contradictions of actually existing social life.
And if that is the case his "analysis" is useless.

Best. Post. Ever.
Should this thread be closed now because OP is gone?
Eco-socialists should just focus on fighting for the working class. The environment will be taken care of be getting rid of capitalism. [FONT=sans-serif]
