ffs! Even Carlsberg beer used this particular type of swastika. In fact its still there are the brewery by that giant elephant statue. I thought it was common knowledge that the nazis ripped it off. I dont like any of the symbols but its even used in the Hagakure, to represent one of the clans. But then again you are probably right and maybe not that many Latvians know much about eastern culture.

I was answering the question about how many Buddhists and Hindus use the symbol. That's why I quoted that question directly. I'm aware the usage in Asia has nothing to do with the situation in Latvia.

Of course Hitler ripped it off, no one's said otherwise. But
after Hitler ripped it off the symbol has certain connotations and you simply don't use it unless for shock value or if you're a nazi.
