The long boom, 1950 to 1970 when across the world the bourgeoisie trembled at just the thought of worker uprisings and made condescensions with the industrial proletariat to limit the rate of the exploitation workers. WWII had woken up the industrial proletariat and the only way the ruling classes could combat this was to offer a better deal then the Warsaw nations.
