Why is Communism better the Capitalism?
After having met a very loud and annoying Communist. Who was absolutely sure of his beliefs yet provided little to no reason as to why they Communism was better then Capitalism, I ask you the members of Revleft to explain.
Why is Communism better then Capitalism?
For the same reason that democracy is better than autocracy. the more people have a say in things that effect them the more these things will benefit the people.

Right, Historical examples seem to go against your statement.

Then sir, you have no idea what Communism is.

Isn't it the belief that business should be state owned?

Absolutely not! We believe in the abolishment of the state! It's a common misconception that the USSR or China was "Communist", because having a Communist country is impossible.
This is Communism:
Quote:
Communism is a theory which advocates the abolition of the state, markets, money, private property, and capitalism in favor of common ownership of the means of production, direct democracy and a horizontal network of voluntary associations and workers' councils with production and consumption based on the guiding principle: "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need"

So Communism is the belief that we should get rid of national governments and return to City-States with direct Democracies and have all material items jointly owned?

No. Communism is the belief that we can have an international society with no countries, or leaders, or masters. We believe that instead of bosses and politicians creating the rules, we could use the Direct Democracy instead. We believe that instead of bosses there should be "Worker's Councils" which control and decide what happens in their work place (These councils could elect representatives for the community etc etc.).. Some of us (Including I) believe in a Gift Economy, and we believe in the abolishment of money. We believe in the abolishment of the STATE, not government. By state we mean the Dictatorship of the Bourgeoisie.
We do not believe in tyranny, we believe in freedom.

No, its the belief that the economy should be democratic and the industries should be controlled by the workers.

So you want a World Government with Direct Democracy.
Wouldn't Direct Democracy be impossible to accomplish in a World Government?
No, right now we have world Capitalism, and not a world government.

What is this elusive 'world government' you speak of?
Quote:

No by "state" we mean an apparatus that is used by a ruling class/ruling classes to defend its/theirs class interests.
We also want to abolish the proletarian state, when time comes (of course we first need to establish one).
Communism is better than capitalism because it is economically superior, just as capitalism is economically superior to the fuedal mode of production.

By that logic, capitalism and liberal democracy don't work at all because the historical examples of the French First Republic and Commonwealth of England show otherwise.
Communism isn't necessarily "superior" to capitalism but is just in the interest of the working class, while capitalism/liberalism is in the interest of the wealthy class.
The fact that 1% of the population own 1% of the 'wealth', not 40% like in this silly capitalist world.
The fact that half the world won't live in poverty
The fact that everyone will have free education, healthcare, etc etc
...the list goes on pretty much forever, do some research into Communism and see for yourself

Well said. To the OP, I'd recommend looking to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea ("North Korea") for an example of the superiority of communism. Universal no cost healthcare, food distribution, worker's power and a people's army.

No, it isn't.
The idea that businesses should be state owned could be described as social democracy in its extreme form.
Communism stands for a society of freely associated producers, without money, capital, the state and commodity production.

These measures do not amount to the abolition of capital (not abolition of the means of production, but the abolition of the social relation of capital which these means of production take on) which is a necessity in order that a classless society might be established.

Not sure if trolling...
Cuba is somewhat famous for its great healthcare system. Remember that (original) marxism and anarchism go hand in hand, as nations, religions, armies and states are all instruments of bourgeois power.
