Am I the only one who is having a sincerely difficult time comprehending Bud Struggle's line of reasoning?

No. What I'm getting is something like because it's being taught in a capitalist school then the real truth of the book has changed.
Quote:
No, the Capitalist solved the problem. Every High School in America teached Animal Farm.
So what's your issue?
Have you ever read the book?

Yea. But better yet I have a kid in HS In an IB program that read it and was taught it was an anti Communism text. So I guess that's what the book means now.
Not really my concern of course, believe as you will. :)

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a scathing satire on the decline of the Tyneside ship-building industry:

DON'T DISAGREE THAT'S WHAT IT MEANS NOW
Tim, live in any cosplay world that suits you. Enjoy! I really don't think you have a clue what the world is all about. NATO is winning Revolutions. All the Communist Chinese want to talk about is venture capital and Jesus--the Tea Party may give us our next President.
Are you paying attention?

Yep, you've totally lost me. I am not in possession of the barest scooby as to what you're blethering about.
NATO joined one revolution, late in the game. The tea party has basically been dead in the water for months among the populace (the majority of americans wouldn't vote for a single one of their candidates). And China is... well.. doing what China does; winning.
I see it didn't take you long to get back to your usual line of reasoning;
"america, fuck yeah!
Comin again to save the motha fuckin day, ya!"

Maybe that's not why it was written--but it is now.
The past exists. It can't be ignored. It has to be deal with. Revolutions are going on all over the Middle east--anyone mention Communism? No. It's dead. Revolutionaries, REAL REVOLUTIONARIES are overthrowing countries and Marxism, Communism, aren't even a passing though in their minds. It dosen't exist. Any Leftist, Anarchist, Communist militias help Libya like they helped Spain in the Spanish Civil War? Nope--just NATO.
The Libyian Revolution was all about NATO.
Even the Revolution as been corpritized.
Except those aren't Revolutions.
A revolution is the overthrowing of one class by another.
Bud struggle is saying that animal farm is taught as something that it isn't, because it's easy to make misconceptions between comparing Stalinism to actual socialism. It doesn't help that for 50 years, they were the only branch that had a safe haven and a source of support during struggles, and were the only ones using the term "communist" in their names.

NATO is not doing any revolutoins, NATO is trying to latch on to revolutions, most of which were against US supported dictators.
China is talking slave labor and venture capital, and no shit they are.
And the Tea-party becomming the next presidnet? Does'nt really matter because as the economic super power the US is finished.
BTW, the tea-parties aproval rating is below 25%, the democrats approval ratings are terrible the only thing that is worse is the republicans.
Americans are finished with bourgeoise politics totally, problem is, as of now they don't have anywhere else to go.
Bud Struggles lack of Marxian analysis of his situations, such as Libya, is the big issue here.
He has a lack of any analysis really, other than "GO USA, GO CAPITALISM."

It might be due to the fact he isn't a Marxist.
Bud, if I am not mistaken, works on the premise that it's a cop-out for communists to say that the USSR, North Korea, China, Kampuchea etc were not
communist along the lines of the "no true Scotsman fallacy".
Quote:
Socialism won't work because the Leaders of the Socialist Government would keep all the money for themselves
i think thats a pretty good left communist/anarchist claim too ^^
funny thing is, with our current government systems, its pretty much the same, cappy or soicalist. Leaders ALWAYS take all the money for themself. ruling class much?

Its not a fallacy at all. There are plenty of examples of socialist institutions and even communist institutions, its not difficult, its just that the USSR, North Korea and so on WERE NOT socialist or communist institutions, you could argue that there were periods in the USSR with some communist institutions, but then again there are also in some private capitalist countries.
Its just simply does it meet a basic and common definition.
It's sad that George Orwell is used as a symbol of anti-communism when he himself was in fact a communist, just an anti-stalinist. He fought in the Spanish Civil War on the republican side.

Orwell wasn't a communist. He was a traitorous scum who turned communists over to the British intelligence..

Where did you get that from? Stalinoids R' Us? You're quick to label people "scum"- the guy fought against fascism in the Spanish Civil War with the left ffs. If anything good old Stalin and his Soviets fucked up the Spanish Civil War too.

Argue that with Bud- it's his premise, I think at least.
It's interesting though that if someone were to argue that say the Vatican were not a Christian institution when discussing things like the Inquisition and the Fourth Crusade people would not accept that.
