Hey,
The title is pretty self explanatory, but i'd like to hear from you harcore commies, not just the anarchists and hippies.

Majigauna is virtually legal in Canada right now. Well you can't grow it, sell it, or have over 30 grams...but if you have 30 or less grams and are smoking it you can no longer be charged. Well you can be charged, but the courts will throw it out.
Sept 27th at 7pm at Parliment Hill....the Pot Party!

Personally, i think that people should be able to do whatever they want with their bodies and their property.
-
I believe that all drugs, including the harder drugs, should be legalised. It would destroy organised crime and it would be easier to monitor purity. It's one of the main excuses that the U$ uses for fighting its dity war on the Colombian comrades. A totally ilegitimate excuse too. I think that most comrades would agree that in the final stages of Communism, when approaching Utopia, these things can not be regulated so easily. Therefore a more liberal attitude is required in society. Once society accepts these changes then there will be no need to monitor the produce. :D

Marijuana should be decriminalized. If legalized the government can have control over marijuana and i dont want to see that happen. But to be honest that is the only reason it is still illegal- because the government cannot control it. They cannot control who grows it, where its grown, and how much of it is grown.
I find marijuana being illegal completely ridiculous. Marijuana does not cause as much damage as alcohol and cigarettes. You cannot have a marijuana overdose. And la da la da....
-
All drugs and things like suisid should be leagalised pepole can do what they want to there own bodys.
-
I know I am preaching to the choir here, but still...
Marijuana should be legalized and made subject to the same kind of restriction of tobacco or alcohol. Marijuana is favorable to alcohol and should be available as an alternative. I believe the government should regulate it to assure its purity, as all drugs and foods should be inspected.
I am not sure if the hardest drugs should be made available to the general public. Clearly, abuse of hard drugs should be treated as an illness rather than criminal behavior.

Its sick that there are people who are in prison right now, wasting their lives away for having something so common. Its a plant, and the gouvernment thinks that because a person decides they want to put different things in thier body, that person should be held captive to think about what they did. Corectional facility my ass. If anyone took away my freedoms from me and then released me back to the public I would use all my power to destroy that system.
Im thankful to be in Canada where 30 grams or less is good, but still sometimes you need to have more on you like a 1/4 P or something. In Vancouver on Saturday the very first safe injection site for heroine was opened. Its a Crack house monitored by the gouvernment where junkies can go and have trained nurses help them shoot up. I just find it hard that Pot is still ilegal anywhere.

Can't see screen....too much smoke...cough.What was the question? Fuck it.......BONG! Come to Canada, home of the cannabis cup baby!!
-
"Personally, i think that people should be able to do whatever they want with their bodies and their property. "
PROPERTY IS THEFT.
But seriously, in the post-revolution world, marijuana should definitely be legal! It should ALREADY be legal.
-
i think you can "overdose" from pot perhaps Dhul or Canni can fill in on this but dont you just fall asleep? anyways I am 100% in support for legalising all drugs.
-
You can't OD on pot. If you smoke too much, you'll just fall asleep which will prevent you from ODing.
-
I'm for legalization. Or at least decriminalization. You can not overdose on pot. Overdosing on pot is like trying to suffocate yourself by holding your breath.
-
Decriminalize drugs. But, in a communist (or anarchist) society, I believe drug use would "wither away" much like the state.
-
I dont think drugs (including 'softer' ones) should be decriminalized, i think people already have enough means of destroying there body and minds, to allow a greater freedom to do this would be wrong.
-
to have an over doses of pot you need to smook 60 000 times the amount that you smoke usally
I'm for legalisation of soft-drugs and with the taboe we've goth to do something ...

Do you believe Cigarettes and Alcohol should be illegal, Marko? They are just as bad, if not worse, as most illegal drugs.

I agree, cigs n alcohol are bad for you, but as i said before, isnt this enough for people? I mean today many people on this board want soft drugs legalising, but why, when you already have some poisons do you need more? doesnt it worry you that long term people will want harder and harder drugs legalising?
There is a diference between alcohol and say weed for example, i can go out, have 2 pints, and be no different to when i went out (i.e. not pissed)-the reason i have drank these hypothetical pints is to socialise and because i have enjoyed the taste. However when i go to my friends dindgy basement to do my joint, its very different in that i'm there soley to get intoxicated, i dont imagine many people do weed for the taste (certainly not for the smell!).
The idea of legalising drugs in a socialist state is obsurd, how can a worker be expected to use heavy machinary say when he or she has just taken LSD? Could i drive a tank to defend against the imperialists after shooting up? Would you trust me not to slip with my finger on the trigger of my AK-47 when i'm marching behind you?

El Marko,
It seems that you hold the "Holier than thou" attitude on this subject. That's fine...only if you've done any of these evil drugs you talk about. If not you know nothing but what you are told and are following a progandized herd of happy little Americans (if that is what you be) into a wall of fire, with the war on drugs only one of the many distractions from the real problems in your (if you are American) society...
You also assume that people are stupid. Which is a bit pessimistic and Hobbesian to me. Only an idiot would go to work on drugs. And their are other reasons for smoking weed then the smell (which is strangley appealing) and the taste (see my add on for smell) or even getting high! It's called medicine.

I'm unsure why you think this, sorry if you find my views offensive.

You meen like all those former druggies that used to come to your school pleading with people to stay away from these substances? I'm not one so fair enough.

I agree only an idiot would go to work on drugs, i am not been pesimistic, i know some people would use them responsibly, however i also know what i see around me, people wasted on them, people who would not be functional workers or members of society. In a socialist society would you want to be working to provide food for you and those around you, or would you rather be paying for the local methadone clinic?

Medicinal drugs are different, i.e. I have no objection to people taking morphine to ease their pain, and give them a better quality of life, however it would be inappropriate for those of us who are healthy to abuse it.
