I just saw a newsflash about an IRA bombing in london, and in my birthday too, this is the best birthday ever, a revolutionary act to celebrate the day of my birth, i do realize that the IRA only does things like this when the british do something even worse, like kill some unarmed catholic irishmen, so in advance i would like to have a moment of silence for any of our irish comrades killed that caused the provocation of this action taken by the IRA.
The Unionists have been on a rampage lately I read news from the IRA side quite a bit... it seems the international press only mentions when the IRA does something...
Oh.. and happy B day..

does that really surprise you? the news is nothing but a form of propaganda (and i know a lot of you know how i feel about chomsky but i have formed this other idea from other sources as well)
Oh It's no shock to me... I grew up in a family with strong Irish activist ties... I've always known how the American press depicts the Ira as the only terrorists... never mentioning Unionist groups like the UDA.
Also It makes me sick when the American press so venoumously atacks the PLO who are armed with rocks, sticks, and the odd antiquated gun... and ignore Isrial's atacks with the latest bilion doller US equiptment... like Isrial bombing several Palistinian towns in retaliation to an Israilie killed. The US also ignores Sharon's war crimes while painting Arafat in an evil light....
i can't really respond to that because i'm sure everyone on this bb knows how i feel about this
First of all I must just confirm for anyone confused, that it was the so called Real IRA that performed this act, NOT the IRA. It seems to me like all the Real IRA take from Republicanism is the aspect of blowing things up. They will achieve nothing. Armed struggle is a legitimate form of revolution but only when any other option has been ruled out. Has anyone ever told these people that staunch Irish Republicans could have been in that pub drinking? How do they envisage they will achieve the United Ireland? Considering it is inevitable now anyway what purpose would it serve? It only gives people in the Media more propaganda. They will be allowed to depict a lunatic fringe as being representative of republicanism.
The media is always biased to the point that major atrocities can be done by one party and not even appear in the newspaper and some partys small actions are all over the media. Its really fucked up. Especially in America, you know that the American government sides with Israel because of the oil mines and wealth and couldnt care less weather their cause is right or not.

Thank you for mentioning that.... There are splinter groups on both sides which makes the entire situation complicated... We all generalize way too much... I'm gulty of that too.
For all who have not read about the bombing Filimarxist mentioned.. this the story as writen by the Sinn Fein party news....
>>>>>> Dissidents explode car bomb in London
A car bomb which went off in west London early Friday morning has
been blamed on the so-called "Real IRA", a breakaway micro-group of
dissident republican militarists.
The bomb injured six people when it went off in Ealing shortly
after midnight as a search operation was being mounted by London
police.
The device, estimated to contain about 60 lbs of home-made
explosive, detonated near a pub around 100 metres from the Ealing
Broadway underground and railway station. The injuries, none of
which were serious, were mostly caused by shattered glass.
The last bomb planted in London by the so-called "Real IRA" was
three months ago, but an identical car bomb was defused at
Belfast International Airport on Wednesday. None of the attacks
have been claimed.
The bomb was condemned on all sides and led to renewed calls
for the full implementation of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement.
British Secretary of State John Reid said the blast was another
attempt to derail the peace process by people who had no
democratic mandate and who were defying the clear will of the
people.
It achieved no purpose other than to remind people of what they
were trying to escape from, he said.
Dr Reid added: "Far from deflecting us, this barbaric attack
should strengthen our resolve to reach agreement. No one will
understand if we allow the solution that is within our grasp to
slip away."
Sinn Fein's Gerry Kelly said the attack was "absolutely wrong"
and placed it alongside the actions of loyalist paramilitaries
who murdered two teenagers in the past month.
"Let's be clear about this. The attack last night is absolutely
wrong, it is against the peace process, it is an attempt to
undermine all our efforts to move the situation forward and it
goes into the same vacuum as the UDA violence of the last number
of months," he said.
Both the loyalists and dissident republicans were attempting to
undermine the communities and political parties in trying to get
a settlement, Mr Kelly added.
But, among saturation coverage in the British media, some anger
was directed at the failure of the London police to adequately
clear the area, with some civilians describing how they were
ushered through police lines past the bomb shortly before the
blast.
One man who suffered a dislocated shoulder said there was a great
deal of confusion among police officers immediately before the
explosion. "Two police officers did not say anything to us and
just let us go past," he said.
He said that as he and his girlfriend walked away after the blast
they saw the same officers. "I said to a police officer `You knew
this was going to happen why did you not tell us?'. He said `We
could not cordon off the whole town'."

Oh you know it man... The US also does whatever the Jews in the US want them to... Same as the Cubans in Florida. You know they keep saying that they aren't bulding more settlements on the west bank... but I keep seeing more and more Jews here in New York moving to Isrial... if they aren't bulding more settlements... where the hell are they moving to?
I saw this guy about a month ago with a hat that said "Israilie Army" on it... I wanted to go out and get one that said PLO. I'm just kidding... but you know what I mean.... These guys have killed more Arabs than the Natzies killed Jews... and he's walking around with a hat like that...
I know I'm sounding like I'm anti Jews here.. I'm not... I'm just against their army... and govt.
the organized church of jews is the same thing as the catholic church, bent on greed and profit
You are dead right Red Celtic. I once took this survey Political Compass.org to find out my political definition (Libertarian left) I actually took it twice to make sure as some of the questions were hard to nake up your mind on. One such question was surely Jews must share some of the blame for their persecution. First time round I was PC and said I disagreed but second time round I decided to be painfully honest and agreed. Not that this excuses their torture. But just like I am equally opposed to persecution of Catholics and the tyranny of the catholic Hierarchy I am also opposed equally to Anti- Semitism and Israeli Imperialism. As for the Cubans in Florida I have been there and at the risk of sounding racist they are the most nasty unlikable right wing pricks I have ever met. Of course they left Cuba because these people are ULTRA RIGHT WING so naturally a Communist Regime would be anaethema.
