The darkness shall envelop us all!
Hehe. I'm lazy like that.
I'm sorry for the disappointment. 1 Kautsky is an important subject though.
"What do you think the ratio of dem. socialists vs. revolutionaries is?" I don't actually know since I've never been a member. I think a lot of members give passive support for revolutionary change, but the politicians don't really talk about it. Relatively recently a prominent party member predicted a revolution within 20 years and people lost their minds. Most people who vote for the party aren't revolutionary, but vote because they have more progressive views on immigration, taxation and state-welfare than the rest of the country's political parties. And partly because of young, charismatic spokespersons.
Sure. I used to be a fervent state-capitalist theorist, but I'm starting to question the whole idea now. I still don't view the USSR and co. as socialist or workers' states, but I find that there are few satisfactory analyses out there. I'm a "vanguardist", though not in the enlightened intellectual sense, that some people seem to think it means. I think the party should establish cultural ties in, for example, radical trade unions or food banks or other kinds of initiatives, not just sell newspapers or whatever. I find particular potential in the danish red-green alliance (Enhedslisten), which has a revolutionary programme and active communist members. It still has a large social-democratic membership, but I think this can be combated (the party is much more radical than Labour, the Democrats etc.). ...That was pretty long. Where do you stand politically?
You mean with Sotinov? They do seem to bring the same argument everywhere they go. I'm starting to think the discussion will only end when one of us dies.
Don't worry about it. Your post was more detailed anyway so I'll let it go
1) you're correct about the tendencies, however you don't have to agree 100%- it's not a dogma! 2) it made sense, and I understood it. I'm not sure whether I actually believe it.
many of those users like Invader Zim are suffering from old injuries from past discussion on animal liberation, they are ghosts doomed to repeat old crusty tendencies in the name of tradition
I'm tired now. I'll respond properly tomorrow. Or today, actually. It's nearly 3- ugh.
