Ah. It's a committed users forum that's why. We were discussing how some users(actually one user) were pissed, embarrassed rather, that other users were defending or arguing the "truth" of the so called great purge. Many of us are of the opinion that it's irrelevant as to the actual day to day issues of the class. They don't care.

The discourse here is not one of understanding though. More along the lines of a schoolyard pissing match. Doing anything over and over, expecting a different outcome, is the definition of insanity. I don't like to dabble in insanity. Too much actual "work" to be done in the streets.

I was referring to the American capitalist system and how revleft seems infatuated with the ghosts of long dead men and walls that no longer exist. Yes, by all means we need to understand and come to terms with our past but this is just ideological posturing. Who does it serve? At what cost to the very real issues we have before us today? It is all laughable in a J.P. Sartre sort of way.

I always found it ironic that the west was so enamored with his(Honeckers) style. They referred to him as very "western in style". His secret? An Italian communist that made his suits. It is standard procedure for the ruling class of any nation to point the fingers at a scapegoat and say "that is the bad guy". This can only work so many times before people begin to realize that the "bad guy" isn't another worker of a particular race or nation, but the "bad guy" is the bosses. These same bosses gladly work with the people they accuse of causing the problem, so long as they are bourgeoisie themselves.
