He lost me about halfway through the interview. Bailing out the financial sector isn't Keynesianism, it is contrary to 'free market' dogma.
Because US dollars are widely accepted, you can buy stuff with them. If investors merely want a safe place to hold their savings, they can choose other currencies - and they do.

Ah. It's a committed users forum that's why. We were discussing how some users(actually one user) were pissed, embarrassed rather, that other users were defending or arguing the "truth" of the so called great purge. Many of us are of the opinion that it's irrelevant as to the actual day to day issues of the class. They don't care.

The discourse here is not one of understanding though. More along the lines of a schoolyard pissing match. Doing anything over and over, expecting a different outcome, is the definition of insanity. I don't like to dabble in insanity. Too much actual "work" to be done in the streets.

"a system that can not even pretend to work anymore." I was referring to the American capitalist system and how revleft seems infatuated with the ghosts of long dead men and walls that no longer exist. Yes, by all means we need to understand and come to terms with our past but this is just ideological posturing. Who does it serve? At what cost to the very real issues we have before us today? It is all laughable in a J.P. Sartre sort of way.

I always found it ironic that the west was so enamored with his(Honeckers) style. They referred to him as very "western in style". His secret? An Italian communist that made his suits. I couldn't care less about his dress. My post are meant to inspire alternative thought or reveal the silliness of the OP through sarcasm. You want to talk serious? Then let us have a very serious thread about the 200 million children that go to bed hungry every night under a system that can not even pretend to work anymore.

Standard procedure for the IMF. Yugoslavia was the testing grounds for the methods they use to destabilize nations today.

It is standard procedure for the ruling class of any nation to point the fingers at a scapegoat and say "that is the bad guy". This can only work so many times before people begin to realize that the "bad guy" isn't another worker of a particular race or nation, but the "bad guy" is the bosses. These same bosses gladly work with the people they accuse of causing the problem, so long as they are bourgeoisie themselves.

Political Statement
I am a Marxist Propagandist of communist or rather marxist, ideas for the Overthrow of Western Imperialism and global Capitalism, to be replaced with workers' control Socialism to Communism (depending on if we still have a planet or human race to bring world wide socialism). At this stage in history and dire condition of our planet and human race, a supporter of any rational parties with a chance of implementing a rational energy and environmental policy through parliamentary means, although i think that capitalism does not have this capability. For the Communist Party, the organisation of the the most conscious workers, the revolutionary Vanguard of the Proletariat; for the arming of the working class and strict Class theorist Socialist institutionalisation. Revolutionary "political" centralisation but economic democratisation. Socialism is the struggle for communism; an international CLASSless, State-less, money-less, and egalitarian society with the implementations of "Each according to his ability, each according to his needs" ONLY in which the age old exploitation of man by man can be abolished.

"It is necessary for Communists to enter into contradiction with the consciousness of the masses. . . The problem with these Transitional programs and transitional demands, which don't enter into any contradiction with the consciousness of the masses, or try to trick the masses into entering into the class struggle, create soviets - [is that] it winds up as common-or-garden reformism or economism." - Mike Macnair, on the necessity of the Minimum and Maximum communist party Program.

"You're lucky. You have a faith. Even if it's only Karl Marx" - Richard Burton
