I don't think we can do it democratically so I don't leave revolution off the table.

To not sound harsh, it's socialism without the bureaucratic system of the Soviet Union. Democratic elections, means of production handed to the laborers, etc,. The problem is, we're not getting anywhere in politics, neither any socialist party in America for that matter. It's fine, but we need to be a bit more radical.

In addition, Bananas were never banned in Albania, that's just a ridiculous myth. Same with "bright colors". Beards were banned due to the policy of state-atheism. Albania had a sizeable Muslim population(I'm thinking it may have been more than 50% of the population) and growing bears would have been a passive-aggressive way of touting resistance to the policy.

There are plenty of things to criticize Hoxha for, but those aren't among them.. unsurprising that a person who would buy into those would buy into Maoism though.
