There are a ton of them. There is only one active Maoist party, and it's called the RCP. They are the last remnants of the sane maoists.. which his to say they're basically ordinary stalinists who think Mao was cool. There's just one little thing that went wrong.. Their "Chairman" Bob Avakian basically set himself up as a god. They have a cult of personality around him and they even call it that. He likes to think he's as great as Lenin, Stalin, and Mao combined.

You forgot to take the average age into account. Then you have to compound it with the emotional age.

Well you can be a Stalinist or a Maoist.. well I guess some might argue that all Maoists are by default Stalinists, but for simplicity's sake I just say the ones that don't like Mao are Stalinists, and the ones that like Mao as Maoists. Internet Maoists are fucking crazy, but IRL there isn't too much of a difference between Maoists and Stalinists.

you shouldn't call Maoists as Stalinists, it's insulting to the Stalinists. lol

Stalin actually thought Mao was an incompetent and opportunistic chump.

I saw that, they're freaking out! No one stirs up the hive like you do. Not quite sure why, nothing really goes on in that group. Most Maoists have left or been banned. Never thought I'd see the day when Hoxhaism-Brezhnevism would become the dominant ideology among the Stalinists.

Hoxha pretty hated hated all the other 'communist' dictators like Tito, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Kim Il Sung, Castro, and all the others; but I'm sure you noticed that most of the Stalinists who claim to like Hoxha will shill for the people Hoxha hated anyway.

Yeah, I was about to say. They want serious people dedicated to the cause; which is good, because I only want to join a serious party and it's something I take seriously. This probably explains the uniformly positive experiences I've had with members. Unlike parties like the PSL, you're not going to see post-adolescent goons who know nothing about Marxism(i.e. calling Cuba a "socialist" state) and kiss the ass of bourgeois scum like Gaddafi and Kim Jong Un.

They've had a good line. Most parties you see degenerate on an ideological level over time.. becoming more and more social-democratic over the years or going in a bizarre direction(like the Maoist RCP and Bob Avakian); but the ICC has been more or less rock solid in that regard.

I read their articles quite often and find that I agree with a vast majority of their positions. In addition, the members of the ICC that post here and that I've seen other places on the internet are very courteous, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable.

Positive overall. I still have much to learn about left communism, but they may be the party I eventually join. I don't plan on doing that anytime soon, but they are definitely worth considering in my opinion; the only real left communist party out there. There is also the ICT, but they are really small and seem to have some ideological issues. They aren't my ideal, perfect party; but I do not think such a party exists at the moment, so they come closest to it. It's an international party so anyone, anywhere can join it.

The strategy of the CPGB seems interesting, but it has yet to be seen whether it will really take off. A party of their kind doesn't exist anywhere else in the world and it could just fizzle out.

Oh, I've heard about that school, but I don't know much about it. Much of what I said in regard to the Frankfurt school applies here. It's critical that Marxist theory does not become divorced from actual practice and class struggle. Most of those analytical Marxists were Ivy League bourgeois fuckers who probably have a vested interest in being anti-communists, but it seems interesting. I'm putting them on my reading list(which is absurdly big now, probably will take me almost a decade to get through at this point).
