I haven't read much Mao. I hear his stuff on military tactics is good, but his politics are fucking terrible. Did you know that Mao even let bourgeois in the CPC? That's part of the reason that they reverted to liberalism so quickly.

Funnily enough Hoxha denounced terrorism as an anti-communist tactic. Socialism has to be brought about by the will of the majority, not by a small clique. He wrote a ton of criticisms about Maoism.. two volumes full in fact. I've found the criticisms to be accurate and I'm not even a Hoxhaist.

You need to dump libertarian socialism. It's for liberals an anarchists. Authoritarian socialism is where it's at.

Maoism can hardly be said to be a Marxist ideology, for all the emphasis that it puts on the peasantry. The workers are the real revolutionary class, and a lesser degree the petit-bourgeoisie in light of their impending reduction to the proletarian class as mentioned in Critique of the Gotha Programme. The peasantry, however, is an inherently reactionary class and can only be co-opted with great care.

Students do have limited value.. oftentimes because they only go through a brief radical phase as they never adopt a scientific, materialist approach.

The "anti-studentism" does get to be a bit old. I don't know if you were joking there or not.. I mean there are some valid criticisms of students, namely that some tend to be bourgeois and shit like that.. but a lot of it seems to be prolier-than-thou elitism.

No I haven't. I'm training to be a professional historian, and I can say that Marxism would greatly enhance the field.

As it stands now, a kind of vulgar materialism is encouraged. Economics, demographics, and that sort of thing are emphasized over the actions of individuals, which is as it should be. What is missing, however, is class analysis. The political ramifications of including that would be too severe.

lol. Hoxha never banned bananas, that's just a myth. Bananas weren't imported, which is something that is very, very different from banning them. They were grown and sold domestically within Albania.
