I'm probably not going to be able to get around to it. Between university work, scanning public domain books by stalinist regimes, and my own research; I've been pretty damn busy. It turns out the University Library has many texts published by the Albanian regime under Enver Hoxha available, so I've been scanning them so they can be made publicly available on the internet. The books are extremely rare and can't be bought anywhere generally, there are only a few libraries in the country that have them. Hoxha was a pretty intelligent man and a decent statesman, despite the people around here that lampoon him. I still think the Soviet Union and Albania were capitalist, but it is difficult not to admit that he had some skill and leadership abilities.
Totally. Sure opnions may differ from person to person but I love it. Lots of things for a history/humanities geek like me to study. Plus the food is just completely awesome, I have to watch myself to avoid gaining weight. The climate is nice, not very different from my region of Brazil, only colder in winters. The people are generally nice and receptive. I also met my girlfriend here (2 years ago).. So I can't complain. As a commie...well it's deep in the european crisis and there is lots of political unrest here so it's also interesting.
Hey friend, I got inactive for a time because I just moved to Portugal. I will probably spend more time here now. Regards.
yup im quite a big lovecraft fan, probally the best horror author i've ever read(if you avoid his fantasy and bad stuff). and everytime there is an option to put in your location i throw in innsmouth.
Oh, thanks. Just crusin' through the news of a rally I was at yesterday. Hbu?
I find Engels far easier to understand. His 'Principles of Communism' is far better than the manifesto as an introductory text, and 'Origins of the Family, Private Property and the State' is a great text too, though I've only read half.
Btw its good to see others reading Marx, I think there is too many people who can quote Lenin and Trotsky non-stop but have only read the manifesto!
Well I'd love to discuss it but I haven't read it yet, I'll read the first chapter on Marxists.org now and get back to you.
I might have something for you, but it's late so I am going to bed now. I'll get back to you on this.
You want something modern or some old revolutionary and union songs?
