Cool. Anything interesting?
I'm doing alright. Just ordered some books from AK Press since everything's half off. How are you doing?
How far into Workers' Councils are you? And I know what you mean, when I returned after Christmas I was working about 9-10 hours everyday. Now things have thankfully calmed down, although I need the money so i'm not so depressed about it
Thank you.
Thank you. i've not tackled Capital myself, yet. I do have a fairly broad knowledge of Marxian theory relating to value, profit, surplus etc., though, so i'm game to try and help you out if you're really stuck. I'd prefer though, if you put your questions in the Economics sub-forum. I'll be able to contribute there, and other more knowledgeable users will doubtless be able to help you too! Is that alright?
I'm almost done with Capital and i've already read Workers' Councils, though I wouldn't mind reading it again. It's not really that long.
If you did email me I never saw it lol. I saw you take a weird approach to SIOC, but I don't remember if that was you or another person. My views really haven't changed too much. If anything, things I read have seemed to reinforce my beliefs. The only thing that is different is that I do think we are living in the "decadent phase of capitalism" (where before I didn't really accept it).
Not much brah, not much. We haven't talked much lately. Your views change on anything?
Hi, I'm learning quite a bit from this site. I discovered it in a google search when I was working on my eBook about Economic Democracy. My introduction to communism was with Mao's Red Book and latter the SLP and writings of Daniel De Leon. I feel that authoritarian dictatorships calling themselves communist have soured that word for the general population. It might be possible to bring in true communism by way of growing Worker Cooperatives owned totally by workers. Once all workplaces become worker owned, it is only one step to eliminate money to make all work more productive by removing all the paperwork that moving money around necessities. In short I think the general population is ready for communism, if it's not called communism.
Yes, yes it is.
