I have army boots too, yet they come to me! The trick for defending against tricking is not jumping back, but rather jumping forward. If all of those people would have jumped forwards instead of backwards, those cops wouldn't have been able to lift their legs to kick and they would have been thrown backwards. Then you can overrun them, or lift them up and throw them into the masses.
