I was able to drive the Spanish Royalists to the south but in the North the Carlists were beginning to attack. And right at the moment when I thought, shit, I am failing again, the Kingdom of Spain offered peace. I accepted, beat the Carlists (it was hard, but I succeeded) and then declared war on Kingdom of Spain again. They were easily destroyed, except for Madrid. That was really hard, I was bombing it non-stop and had 12 armies trieing to capture it from multiple borders. But after a while I won. Then I conquered Portugal, this was done quickly, and my Iberian Revolution was complete! Germany and France got in a war and I joined France.

"The trick to win as the CSA is protecting your territory, take as much enemy territory as you can, while not compromising the defence of said territory, you need to have a border that can be defended by your troops, if it is too big or too irregular your troops may not be able to cover it all."

I wasn't even able to maintain the states I began with. I had to spread my soldier too much. I think I should have seperated my armies into more divisions, I will try that next time.

Yes, Spain is easy and offers peace quickly. The carlists were my biggest pain. But I tried it again and it went different this time. Again, I got no help from France. But now I first focused on Spanish Kingdom, while defending my northern borders with some armies, but I did not attack the carlists and they barely attacked me.

Did you ever try the No Pasaran mod for CoD 1?

Germany and the Duchess or something conquered France, France was split up, Brittain got conquered by Germany and Germany refused peace.

I believe USA annexed New England this time. As I understand, this game is different every time. Which is good, in my opinion.

It wasn't until recently that I discovered this genre, so I never got to play EU Universalis 1, 2 and 3. But from what I read, it is also a good game. Did you play them?

Then I tried as the Soviets, initially that went very well, but the waves of enemy troops just kept coming. There was nothing I could do, and I was overwhelmed. I need to learn some strategies and learn the uses of the verious options, like reserve and stuff like that.

It was declared on me. First Canada attacked the Socialist Allies, and not much later, the German Empire followed. And as soon as you fight with the Germans, you fight with half the world.

"The way you survive the war with Germany as Italy is you ask for peace from Germany, this usualy happens, Germany conquers France, creates Kingdom of France, Union of Britain makes peace with Germany."

Went a little different this time.

"You produce nuclear weapons by having a nuclear reactor at least level 6, first you choose a site for the reactor (one with good infrastructure is advised), and you build it in the same way you build a factory, you continue building more reactors in the province until there are 6, then it will automaticaly produce bombs. To use those bombs you have to add them to a strategic bomber/tactical bomber/rocket."

Thanks, but first I have to outlive the first harsh years. I failed as the CSA because I had to few men. Then I tried as Anarchist Spain, but for some reason the Socialist Allies did not aid me. They just traind some of my men, but the French did not sent troops, as usual. I defeated Spain but the Carlists (never heard of them before) split up my conquered area and defeated me.

Also, how did you succeed in establishing the CSA? When I play, the CSA is crushed in no time by the USA, although I do support the CSA with troops, knowledge and rations.

This game is harder then I thought. Played as Anarchist Italy, supported some revolutions in USA and Spain. The revolution in USA was crushed, but the revolution in Spain succeeded, with help of French forces and my naval support. But then I figured that I could take on Northern Italy and that I would recieve help from France and Spain. But when I attacked Italy, my forces were crushed before the French forces could reach me. Besides, the German empire and his allies immediatley declared war on France (and me), so I dragged France in a two-front war. In the end, I was crushed and France was struggling to maintain his borders. So I will have to try again! Really fun game. And nice music too.

I was trying to solve the problem with the internet connection, but this is ofcourse way faster. Thanks! And it worked! I will now play as one of the glorious socialist nations and 'liberate' the other countries!
