Yeah I've seen that but I think more often it's because the term itself --'white privilege'-- is pretty, uh, undiplomatic? I mean if you go to a broke-ass white guy and say 'hey do you think your life would be harder if you were black' most would say yes. But if you ask them 'hey do you have privilege over black people' they'd say no, you know?
