I think you're referring to the ICC's theories. This was actually a widely acknowledged concept back in the 20's when the Comintern was formed. It's the first point of the "Aims and Tactics" section in the invitation to the first congres: "The present period is that of the decomposition and collapse of the entire world capitalist system, and will be that of the collapse of European civilisation in general if capitalism, with its insurmountable contradictions, is not overthrown." (Sauce) When Trot organisations and such refer to the "epoch of Imperialism" or "epoch of Imperialist decay", it basically means the same thing. The ICC's analysis is just more central to their arguments for their positions, so they tend to harp on about it a lot more.
er thanks any posts in particular so i can see what lol?
That was so long ago I don't even remember posting that comment
I see you are an orthodox Forkliftist :P No other tendency?
I originally got the quote from Adam Buick's chapter on Bordigism in Non-Market Socialism in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries. The actual work by Bordiga is only available in Spanish and French online although you can probably get a rough version by sticking it through google translate. The Spanish Version is ¡Para poner los puntos sobre las ies! and the French version is Redresser les jambes aux chiens. Hope that helps
Thanks for visiting!
Yeah it was more of a gradual process. I agree, ancaps suffer a lot from the Glenn Bleck syndrome (ie: Obama is a socialist, communism=stalinism, etc)
Hey, i'll reply here since I don't want to stroke my ego that much. Some reasons of the top of my head: - Realizing Welfare is Not the Problem - Realizing the right-libertarian/misean/ancap movement is filled with racists and nationalists - Understanding marxist theories on monopoly capitalism as being essentially correct - Understanding that workers are being exploited - Understanding that reformism is useless and a waste of time (aka revolution ftw)
i hur you liek cheezburgers?
The reason i became an ancap was b/c i believe in a society where everyone earns what they work for. An anarcho communist society has no money and the only reward for hard work is your neighbors kindness? which seems pretty abusive towards people who have to work for the benefit of others who don't work. When people work for the benefit of others and not their own happiness then they cease being human and become slaves to their neighbors.
