The logic is identical, though. The sliding scales of wages and hours were raised at the level of union disputes, not as a demand for public policy. It should also be noted that, despite the polemical hostility in WITBD, Krichevskii and the Delo bunch were in fact some of the Russian Erfurtians who prevailed against the real narrow Economists (Mysl and Credo).

Have you considered reading Lih's works on Lenin?

No, in fact, I liked how they used Soviets during the war, even a little after. I wouldn't mind a party (that holds no power) aiding the organization of the revolution, but after it's accomplished, I don't believe they should form a new government. Instead, the use of Workers' Councils, or Unions. I do realize we should have a system of defense if the revolution isn't global, or it doesn't happen in states where they have the ability to invade and destroy a population.

I wanted to see a response about the Spanish Civil War, not about Russia. Also, I like Trotsky more than Lenin.
