This is what I use to follow events.

I think the strength of the movement is in it's largely spontaneous and 'open to all' nature which means that Communists have as much of a platform as any other group. The one problem I see with it is that the participants take part as independent citizens rather than as workers. I'm not sure that we can say the protests have been defeated, after all the army were on the streets last night...

I won't be able to attend the one on the 15th, however I've given it some thought today and I am very strongly considering attending the ICC event on the 22nd since it's not too far to travel for me.

I think that in light of the Russian Revolution we shouldn't so quickly dismiss the Anarchist position regarding the state. The Bolshevik minority controlling the state were able to usurp the class it initially represented.

Thoughts?

Regarding pan-Leftism, obviously I oppose the pan-Leftism of those who seek an alliance with Stalinists, Greens, the Trade Union movement etc... However I see no reason why the 'proletarian camp' that you mention, perhaps including some unorthodox Trotskyists (State Capitalist theorists), shouldn't unite.

Hows life treating you in the ICC? Do the members maintain regular contact with each other?

I can see myself at some point joining the ICC, however as I am still relatively young (20 next year)and learning, and there's not too much happening with regard to revolution in the UK, I will probably delay committing to any organisation.
