  1. Thanks.
  2. Ismail,
If you have time, please answer this question and the follow up.
Did Albania become Revisionist after Enver Hoxha died? If so, what year would you say it occurred.

"Modern history, especially Albanian" Can you give me a vague description of present day Albania? I don't know anything about Albanian politics now..

I work with a professor who teaches Soviet History, never had the time to read his material. I'm highly interested, though. Thanks for the references, comrade.

Do you know of any Books on Stalin's and Hoxha's history?

    Har-de-har. Thanks for the quote.

Oh, and didn't Hoxha write something about the cult of personality?

I showed those quotes in my AP World History course. Obviously, the reactions were similar to, "He was just trying to make himself look good by being humble for short periods of time!! Blah Blah Blah. Evil!!!!!!"

How stupid are you allowed to be when you enter an AP course? One of the quotes that I gave even addressed that and said that his fear of appearing pseudo-humble was one of the main reasons he didn't try so hard to stop the people from basically worshipping him or the Soviet leadership from supporting it. Yet, they still ask why he didn't do enough.

Thank you, very interesting. I do not though understand why Lenin thought "Electrification plus Soviet Power is Communism" this is particularly strange to me to be honest... sure electrification is a necessity, and so is Soviet Power, but to me, the very first chapter of Marx's Kapital made me think "Bloody Hell! Let the Workers control their own production! Democracy at the Workplace!". So if we look back at the mistakes made, they certainly were often a nature of not enough workers control, or rather tensions between the state and the workers. And of course besides initial workers control, the ultima scaena for a higher stage of communsim in my opinion being the abolition of capital, money and the state.
I basically think russian revolutionaries indeed had quite right wing interpretations of communism.

What i mean (i know Kruschev wanted to liberalise markets etc.) is that i don't know what the opposition of the anti-revisionists was against liberalisation of capital. Did the anti-revisionists want to further restrain the "freedoms" of capital, i.e. state managing of capital instead of markets?(Because in this case the revisionists were correct that capital could grow better under markets, orthodox capitalism etc) Or were anti-revisionists aware that the USSR had developed to such a stage already where it could be replaced by 'a higher phase of socialism' /a 'lower stage of communism', i.e. get rid of capital?
