Die Neue Zeit

I came up with The Alienated Trotskyist (TAT) while I had to invent a name for a group on msn. But TAT is confusing at best. And I also suffer from the following things:

* I'm more of an autodidact. Much of my socialist education comes from outside the Trotskyist movement
* I put question marks near almost everything I learn from the party (cadre-building, Summer School, Socialism events, etc.)
* I don't like the continuous emphasis on the ongoing ideological battle between Trotsky(ism) and Stalin(ism).
* I'm very conscious of the power of words, phrases, regid formula's etc. that makes people become alienated from the real world.

So the name should be read from left to right (TA) and right to left (AT) to understand my personal meaning of it.

Well, for one I think my *leaving* the CWI outright was extremely premature. Add that to the practical fact that the WP has been stagnant since April. But this does not preclude me from building and supporting the Workers Party regardless.

I'd rather leave it in politics for now as more people read that. But we can see where it goes exactly, perhaps it is better to place it in theory later on.

Anyway, I just gave that thread a bump by asking some obvious yet provoking questions. I know you have some lengthy answers, but I'd rather suggest to give new people a chance to think this issue through first

Oh, I see. I did not read your most recent blog. I'm skeptical about selection by lot, but I will go read it first before I comment.
