I find Crowley to be very interesting. He lived an extraordinary life, he was an excellent poet and novelist, and his philosophy of Thelema is very interesting. Crowley was very misunderstood. Contrary to popular belief, he was not a satanist, and "Do What Thou Whilt" has nothing to do with hedonism. "Do What Thou Whilt" actually means "follow your true will". That's what Thelema is all about. Thelema does influence my life quite a bit, but i would never really call myself a thelemite. I'm not affiliated with Ordo Templi Orientis or any other thelemic organization.

As for my religious beliefs, i'm what is known as a Gaudiya Vaishnavist hindu. Better known as a Hare Krishna or Krishna devotee.

Why not? It's happened many times, in different places, in the 1900s and even 2000s.

Russia in 1905 and 1917+, Spain 36, East Germany in 1953, Hungary in 56, France in 68, Iran in the 70s, Egypt in the past few years, and all over. It's not something that will occur everywhere at once in the same level. I believe that those who are versed in Marxist theory should help explain the alternative to capitalism, but we have no place to pull the rest of the working class.

You should read about these events, the spontaneity of the masses, etc. Again, I can link you articles.

Workers councils were supposed to be the goal in Russia, Lemons famous quote: "all power to the Soviets" comes to mind. The issue was ultimately the party, and the concept that the party should take political power in the interests of the proletariat. This doesn't work as we can clearly tell from Russia.

I know, it's fucked up. But even in the UK our NHS (Nationalized Health Service) is being privatized slowly, benefits cut etc. You shouldn't feel too jealous.
