Do you read any of Marx? He describes religioun as a tool of the burgeousie to numb the mind of the worker, so that they don't see that they are being opressed. And, I am not going to argue endlessly about what the bible says and does not say, because that would be as ridiculous as argueing abut what jack and the beanstalk was supposed to mean. Stop talking about the supieriority of your god, because he does not exist.

Just to chime in briefly on the discussion below, I don't see how a personal conviction could constitute a reactionary element. (I say that as an atheist in relation to every deity I've ever heard of.) Reaction, by definition, implies action.
