I seem to remember it was one of the set texts on some English course I did many yers ago. But I didn't read it all. I think we had an exam where we had to refer to three of the texts and Dubliners didn't take my fancy. That was before I found out that Joyce was quite an interesting dude. Did you know he was in Zurich at the same time as Lenin? Tom Stoppard wrote a play based on the idea that he and Lenin manage to exchange bags in the library, Lenin goes away with the first draft of Ulysses and Joyce takes away State and Revolution... it's a travesty on 'The Importance of Being Ernest', and it's called 'Travesties'. I've never seen it but I'd love to.

No. I am sympathetic to it but I disagree with the Marxist Leninist view on the party.
