Sorry for taking so long to get back. I would suggest definitely reading Capital along with those vids but I think they stand up pretty well on their own. It all depends on how much you want to get into things. Nothing beats reading Capital if you have the patience/time for it IMO.

Well, like i said, i get my sources from various sources. I can tell you off of the top of my head though that interest rates from the US' Central bank, the FED, are at 0.01% which the banks can borrow from this central bank at such cheap interest rates to then lend it out to the real economy at ~5%. Tax cuts have been plentiful everywhere around the world in the last years, the majority of the effective tax income of the modern states come from the bottom 60% earning population. Subsidies to Corporations are semi-secret, but it is a fact that Corporations like GE in 2010 paid negative taxes. Of course there are the hundreds of billions of dollars and euros in bail out packages. Bloomberg estimated that over 7 Trillion dollars were lent out by the US fed since 2008.

That guy pretty much described social-democracy entirely. "Evolutionary" socialism is reformism. I still haven't figured out why they haven't restricted the guy for being a social-democrat.
