I had some weird flirt with anarchism but am back to my old communist self. I'm just reading some works by Plekhanov and Kautsky, to try and get a grip on where I stand. I'm definitely marxist, but I don't like 'Leninism' (as in Stalinism) or Trotskyism. Lenin and Trotsky had some good theories (Lenin more than Trotsky), sure, but to give them their own tendency is idiotic. Maybe you Kautskyites are right...

Did you ever get ahold of the new translation of Kautsky's On Colonialism the CPGB published recently? It's pretty interesting. There's some things Kautsky says that can be contested, but form the standpoint of understanding the formulation of Lenin's views and other subsequent theorists, it's valuable.
