My politics have been slowly shifting for a while, but I liked your term "soft-trotskyist" which perhaps would be a good label for me at the time being; however my convictions are far from cemented. Based off what you have read, it makes you a pro for these boards; most of the posters here haven't even read much (as demonstrated by the quality of discussion on the site). I defenitely need to give capital a go, seeing as how my knowledge on economics pretty well sucks. Interesting you should mention Plekhanov, as I have been considering giving him a go recently. I want to get back to the basics of Marx, Engels, Kautsky and Plekhanov so I can finally come to my own conclusions as to whether or not Lenin and Trotsky were a continuation of "orthodox marxism" as I think they were. Anything in particular you'd suggest from Plekhanov? I was thinking about maybe something dealing with the relationship between the economic base and the superstructure.
