My father thought they were like-minded, but the owners were obviously anarchists while my father is a commie who sympathizes with Assad and Gadaffi. When the owners made clear they did not, my father thought they were badly informed. One of the owners is a veteran in the rev-left scene and attended many famous demo's. He was also a friend of Tanja Nijmijer, the Dutch girl who went to Colombia and joined the Farc. She is now on of the bosses of the Farc and she is one of the key persons in the peace talks in Havana at the moment. She was a very smart girl, and he had deep respect for her ideals.
I found no more info about the demo btw, so I guess it was very small. I will have to attend the one on 30 april.

I went to a union manifestation and joined TWO political parties! Three, if you count the youth of the SP. And I visited an awesome little rev-left. bookstore las saturday. It is in a former squat building and was in a very backward alley in the city. It is only open 6 hours or so per week. I bough for 220 euro's books and my father had a chat with the two owners.

It's is not really about the language. That is a nice extra when you study medicines or history. It is about the fact that you were willing to do more than other students in the same amount of time. And if you do the gymnasium, you also read the original texts of the philosophers in Latin, which makes you learn a lot.

Here that is april fools day. On carnaval, the southern people of NL, the ones in Limburg and Noord-Brabant, drink 24 hours a day all carnaval long, so multiple days, and they dance to the stupid songs I sent you. The rest of NL is annoyed by the stupidity of the southerners and starts to hate them.

weird indeed. I got a database error and could not acces anything, yet the new messages you posted were seen by me because when I logged in without the error for the first time just now, it did not say I have unread messages.

Instead I spend about 6 hours in the bus, 1 hour waiting until we went live on tv, and 1,5 hours listening to lame music. I am also now buying my train tickets so I can backpack across EU for 1 month without train costs in the summer.

Went to somekind of big event for schools, with a competition etc. I could explain but it was incrediby lame and commercial and consumerist. Anyways, we were in a big hall for 2,5 hours, and we weren't allowed to leave, eat or drink (probably because we were on tv). Guards everywhere, and music that isn't at all my taste. And it was so crowded I felt like fish in a can. Couldn't even lift my arms. Upside were all the girls rubbing against my body! Altough it gave me an erection, which pretty hurt because the trousers I was wearing were too tight and I couldn't move to adjust anything... anyway, it meant we had no school today.
